Hi RonTon,

Sounds like Gravity Forms might not be picking up your version of WordPress correctly. Could you send me a WP login and FTP access to your site via our Contact Us form? Add "ATTN David" to the beginning of your message.

Hello Carl,

If I use any user related merge tags (e.g. {user:display_name}, {user:user_email}...) I get this error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_User::get() in /home/virtualhosts/.../home/httpd/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/common.php on line 717

Do you have any idea what the problem can be?

Thanks,
Aron

We have a fix for the user merge tags no longer pre-populating the fields. This appears to have happened with WP 3.3. Because we have a lot of new features coded for Gravity Forms version 1.6.3, we are providing this fix as version 1.6.2.1.1 and those who need it should email me directly at the email address on my user profile and mention this topic. I will email you the file.

Thanks!

Until recently,
{user:display_name}
and
{user:user_login}
were working anywhere I put them in the form and notification area. I thought it was user error in forms that are already live.

I'm building a new form today and notice now they are not working at all.

For users using this method to populate user meta, you will need to update the populate_meta() function from the original snippet with this updated version for WP 3.3:

Ended up here trying to pre populate some formfields. Could not get it to work.
Now I read mr. g0shu4 message, here above!

Could it be that something changed and the code is not working anymore?
I am on Wordpress 3.3.1 (most recent as of now).

Can someone please confirm this. And is there a workarround??

I would love to be able to get this to work as well.

The only issue I am having with using the code provided by David Smith, is that I am trying to have this set on the post title.

Reason being is that I want to have registered users the ability to submit a post, and it will be published automatically. But if you are not a registered member and you submit a post, it needs to be saved as a draft.

In GF I cannot add more than one Title field in my form.

Any workaround for this?
