Wordpress 1.5.2 and GF 1.7.6 on GoDadday shared....

No matter if I activate via the network admin or on a specific site I get the error "There was an issue creating your form" when trying to create a form. I opened up PHPMyAdmin and do not see any tables that would relate to GF. Do you know of a reason I would get this error and am I correct in thinking that the lack of DB tables relates?

Hi

I just tried installing gravity forms, but once i clicked activate i got Wordpress database error: mysql has gone away.

I then click on pages, and everything is gone. I have to delete the plugin to see the pages/posts again and it really makes admin slow down and lag

Here is a screenshot for the error.
http://i.imgur.com/6S0wgqk.png

Ive tried deleting and reinstalling, tho the error isnt showing anymore but it still removes all posts/pages until i re delete the plugin.

Any help much appreciated
Thanks

Good evening.
We recently updated Gravity Forms licence to the Pro version, so that we could implement the Survey Addon (which seems to works very well and happens to be an essential part for the application we are developing). We are trying to use the Google Chart Library to display the results but the Google Chart Library uses specific predefined data formats.
Our question is: How can we setup the fetch request from the DB and make the neccesary calculations with the results of the querys of the "wp_rg_lead_detail" table?. We noticed that the Advanced Survey Fields generate a custom value for each advanced field.
We believe there is already a function set up with these calculations (as we can observe on the admin panel, (forms results / survey results).

Any help, guidance or advice, will be very appreciated.
Thank you!

I'm working on a project and we're about to decide wether or not use GF for the job. Main concern is populating fields from an external database and write user input to the same external database. I've never done this before and I really don't know what's possible with GF and controlling external databases.

There are possibilities to use GF-hooks and custom plugins, but I'm not sure if I'm able to alter what GF will do with the user input. And, even more important, are we able to hook into GF saving the contents/fields of a form so we can adjust the structure of the external database to it?

I just launched my site (routine process: switched domain and changed URLs in the database through find-and-replace), and now my long, multi-page forms are empty, showing that they contain no fields! Settings are also empty.

I can see the fields and settings in the rg_form_meta table, but they aren't showing up.

As an experiment , I tried exporting the forms and got the following errors:

We want to offer our members the ability to create and print a 3-Day Notice to Quit while at the same time allowing users to browse the historically accumulated list. It would look like this.

The user would fill in the blanks in a form. Upon submit the database would be populated and a PDF form would appear filled in with the fields furnished by the form. The user would be able to save and print the PDF.

Other users would be able to search the database for entries made by fellow users to see if the tenant applying to rent has any 3-Day Notices filed on them.

I'm using a couple of gravity forms in my installation to replace the standard WooCommerce add-to-cart button. The submissions these forms generate is meant to add meta fields in WooCommerce orders. I don't need to save the forms submissions as standalone messages. In fact, I'm wondering if there's a way to disable saving to database of submissions coming from these specific forms (of course leaving untouched the submission that is used by WooCommerce). These forms might generate quite a lot of submissions to the database (even from unconfirmed clients who might add to cart and then not proceed to checkout). If there's no way to deactivate submissions for these forms what's your advice? Thank you

Hi

I have a sign up form that is supposed to store a few pieces of user meta... How do I go about actually storing these in the database?

One of these bits of data is the user's formal title 'Mr / Mrs / Dr / Miss / Ms' and then echo that out when a user posts... So it would be 'Mr Doe' for example. I know how to echo a last name but am struggling with the formal title setting that I've introduced. I've set up the form so I've added a dropdown and then selected the item 'formal title' in the user registration 'user meta' section and labelled it 'formal title'... What do I do next?

It seems the form submits and I have a form entry notification of these field entries, but they're nowhere to be seen in the database?

I'm a bit confused. What is the purpose of the 'User meta' section in User registration form settings if it doesn't actually store this data?

Thanks for your time in advance.

(Posted previously in support forums)

Hello, thanks for your work.

During last year using gravity forms, I have been wondering if we can use gravity form not only to populate and pre-populate a value but to filter these values, I mean, to filter posts database.

For example, I have three custom taxonomies (fruits, regions and quality) and I can filter and order them using these taxonomies (it is the same that you get via admin ui or using query multiple taxonomies plugins: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/query-multiple-taxonomies/screenshots/).

Using gravity, I have three form fields populated with these taxonomies and I can create new posts with its taxonomies and so on; what I am asking if once I choose a taxonomy (for example: apple), it could be used to filter the rest (for example: in the following taxonomy, region, showing just regions containing apples; in the post content, showing post contents with apple taxonomy; in the post title, showing post titles with apple taxonomy; etc). Now, If I choose apple, having them just in California and Florida regions, region taxonomy show me "California, Nevada, Indiana, Florida" and It would be great if it could be queried and filtered on the fly, showing just California and Florida. I have checked and tried to pass data via a query string, but not sure that it would be the best way, because you are redirected to another url and the pick is to stay in the form in order to continue populating it.

Furthermore, in accordance to aforesaid, I am struggling to find the way to prepopulate fields when you have a unique value. For example, if I have an apple class, named "Gravinia", with its features (colour, shape, weight, period, taste, etc), I want to populate these features-values each time "Gravinia" type is chosen, cause "Gravinia" apple is a unique value in the database (Gravinia would be like the ID). I am thinking, for more example, in the way Freshbooks invoicing system let you "save items" that you could use later, saving you having to write some invoices features again and again; other example could be found in Paypal invoicing system where you could save item descriptions, populating theme once you write item ID, item title (or your item reference).

My goal is to produce all my company documents through wordpress, and gravity forms could be a solid way to get it.

It's just (realizing it needs work to achieve that functionality) loop posts using gravity forms.

Thank you!
