I'm considering developing a plugin that will do this. I'm wondering what you all think about some of these concepts:

- Are you comfortable with WordPress having direct access to your Dynamics CRM SQL server? To any interested parties: do you know what SQL replication is, and, if so, does that appeal to you more than a direct connection from WP to MS SQL? (in order to address reliability and/or security concerns)

- Should the data flow in both directions, both from Gravity Forms to Dynamics CRM, as well as from Dynamics CRM to WordPress? (ex. 'View my profile' and 'Edit my contact information')

Hello!

While developing I hit a currently impassable block. The filter gform_field_choices currently returns $choices as a string. This is okay but limits what a developer can do.

In my project I have a form that creates a post and attaches a category. Since there is no option to have categories only be EXCLUDED and only INCLUDED, my first thought was to use this filter to remove a few unwanted categories from this.

Being that there are only a couple categories that I want to exclude and that there will be an ongoing list of categories to include, selecting the Selected Categories on the UI isn't an option.

Either way, my suggestion is to have $choices submitted as an array instead of a string. Not only would that solve my own personal problem but would allow other developers to have full control of the output of the checkboxes.

Thoughts

Thanks David. So in short, if they remain under my licence I will have to offer support (which is understandable) but it is actually possible. I can then, additionally, sell in the benefits of each client paying for their own licence as an 'extra' if they want direct support?

Thanks
David

Hi there, you can use them on your active clients, but part of your off-boarding process for your clients should include asking them to purchase their own license as they would have to come to you for any support needs otherwise.

Hi, if I upgrade to a developer licence, am I able to use Gravity forms on my client's websites, or will they need separate licences?

I would like to require separate fields for first name, last name, email address, user name, and US State.

No problem.

I’d also like to include an option for them to subscribe to my mailchimp list with a double optin – not actually subscribing until they’ve acted on a confirmation email sent to them.

That feature is built in.

Also – when including the US State field – is that a blank text field, or is it a drop-down selection? Is it possible to have it as a drop-down and make it the full spelling of the state instead of the two letters? For example, California instead of CA.

It is a drop down for the state by default, and the state name is fully spelled out and the form field value is spelled out as well. You can see an example of the default behavior here: http://gravity.chrishajer.com/job-application/ (Illinois will be pre-selected by default.)

If you are using Gravity Forms on just one site, there is no problem with a personal license (assuming you don't need any of the add-ons which require a Business or Developer license). Don't network activate the plugin: just install it on the one site in your network and you won't have any problem with the license.

Hi,

I love the look of Gravity Forms. I'd like to use it on a multisite installation. I only want to use the form on one of those sites. I don't want to have to pay the developer's license. That is too much for me at this time. What do you recommend?

Thank you,
