I am having an issue when I import Gravity Forms csv forms into Excel. The form I created uses multiple textarea fields. If a return is entered into a textarea, i.e more than one paragraph is added, when I import the csv data into Excel, the return is interpreted as a line break. This messes up my columns quite a bit!

Is there a way of filtering for returns and replacing or deleting them? Or a way of preventing certain characters from being allowed in a textarea field?

Thank you!

Hello,
I am having trouble with the csv export message functions. When importing in Excel, the ''Commentaires" field content is displayed on several different lines, even with some line spaces in between.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/3dpbivswao9e79b/gform-gravity-export-problem.png

I tried to change the separator via the functions.php but then I get a fatal error which makes my website unaccessible.
The messages are in French.

Thanks a lot for your help.
Best regards
Damdo

Hello

Is it possible to format the form to resemble a table/excel spreadsheet? Each row would be one entry. The user would then be able to add a row if they ran out. When the form is submitted it submits the form as rows of entries.

Please see below image to demonstrate what im talking about

I have searched the pre-purchased forums and think I have have a good idea, but I just want to follow up and make sure, before purchase. So when you export the results to a spread sheet, each question will be or form will be sorted into their own column and value? Would it be possible to see an example of what the exported form results would look like in excel?

Thanks

Hi!

I see GravityForms has many uses, and therefore I was wondering if I can use GravityForms to replicate a simple spreadsheet, as seen here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ap3v-ZfheCMedGZEdkNYUE1JeEo4S1dIX2FWU2pGSFE&usp=sharing

Basically, every week our basketball team has a practice session. Realizing that everyone has schedules, we created a spreadsheet where each team member can go and sign-up (using the drop-down menu in each cell which has a "Yes" or "No" option). Based on that, the daily total is generated, and accordingly the right number of equipment is brought for the practice.

The reason we want to try GravityForms is because we already have a Wordpress site for our team, and having GravityForms would make it such that we don't have any external service (like Google Docs) and can just have a tab with this "form" on it in the website itself. The drop-downs can be changed to simple checkboxes, and the names would be hardcoded in too. One important feature is having the daily total show up. We actually have a large team of 40 players - this Google Docs spreadsheet is just a sample I created.

We really like the look and ease of GravityForms, but is replicating this even possible?

Thank you.

I see some good features around Entry Management in the features list; what options are possible for searching/filtering submissions? For example, can admins search based on one field submission and only show the results that match? or is the only way to do this a manual Excel task with a CSV export?
