I have just finished creating a pretty large form with about 30 checkbox group fields. Each of these items is a multiple choice question. I would like to be able to create an export file with the labels for these groups as a column, and each of the checked values as the value.

The way export currently works, skips the group labels all together. This creates a CSV file that is nearly impossible to understand.

Is there any way to do this? If it is not possible, is there some functionality I can hook into to create this myself?

I've had some code in my themes functions.php to allow authors to export gravity forms and it's worked in the past. For some reason, it now isn't working.

The code I have is

//Gravity Forms User Roles Access
$edit_contributor = get_role('author');
$edit_contributor->add_cap('gravityforms_export_entries');
//END Gravity Forms User Roles Access

The strange thing is that they appear to have access but when they click the export link in the forms menu, the url they get is

http://domain.com/wp-admin/gf_export

instead of

http://domain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf_export

Which is why it is obviously broken for them. It is working for me (as an admin) Any ideas?

We would love a way to export entries based on other filterable fields aside from date range (e.g. a taxonomy such as category or by a particular post ID).

If there were someway to export bulk results from a search or filter, this would cover the more complicated case.

Otherwise the simplest case we would like to see is the ability to select a particular term/value from a taxonomy/custom meta key to export all the related entries.

I read with interest this post:

http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/search-entries-and-export-results

I am looking for this exact function: The ability to export select entries through the Bulk Action drop down list on the Entries page. I was preparing to try to hire someone to create a plugin to do this.

You said this is in the works. Any idea how soon that function will be available? Also, would you consider adding a button within the entry detail to export just that record?

I have a Wordpress multisite installation

I just recently upgraded the Wordpress version to 3.5.1.

Since the upgrade I see the following message on my admin dashboard

"Upload folder is not writable. Export and file upload features will not be functional."

If I de-activate the Gravity Forms plugin. The message disappears. When I activate it again, the message appears again.

I also see this message on the individual sites in the network.

I have checked the file permissions and I have even changed them to 777 and the error message is still there.

Please help

Any one fancy taking this on?

I am looking for a developer that can create the following functionality for Gravity Forms:

1) Automated .txt export of all form entries within a set time range (say 15mins)
2) Form and .txt file entries delimited by (|) Pipe and Asterix (there will be only 6 fields within the form.
3) .txt file exported to FTP location

I have a full developers licence of GF if this makes a difference.

If you think you can do, please get in-touch detailing what it is that you could do, length of time, cost etc and any questions that you have.

I would also be happy for the developed module/plugin to be offered on Wordpress and/or GF without any affiliation to me/website.

You can contact me here: justin [at] walmsley.org

If possible please use the Subject line: Gravity Forms Development

Thanks, and I hope someone out there can help.

A client of mine wants to have a monthly report of an enquiry form emailed to him automatically. I've done some searching and seen that there are possible plans to allow for a scheduled export to CSV in future releases. One of the posts refers to wrapping the Gravity Forms export functions in a cron job to automate the process.

Is there anyone out there who has done this, and would be willing to share the code or a how-to on it? Or any decent resources that could point me in the right direction? My PHP knowledge is fairly limited, though I know enough to tinker with existing code and get it to do what I need it to. I've never played with cron, but I'm happy to learn if it's not too high level.

Thanks!

I'm just getting used to the Gravity Forms interface.

A couple of days ago, I discovered the Entries > View > Edit and the "show empty fields" check box.

What I remember was that fields that show up in the downloaded data but not in the form (like Payment Amount, Payment Date) were available to edit when the "show empty fields" was checked.

But this evening those "extra" fields are not showing up in the Edit form. Am I just misremembering? or is something else going on? I really don't remember making any changes to the form.
