Rather than use the built in date drop down, I would use 3 separate drop downs; one for day, one for month, one for year. That way, the pieces of information will all be stored in separate fields.

Hi Chris

This is our link: http://www.c-r-l.com/get-a-quote/

The calendar for Construction Start Date* and Estimated Construction End Date* both have 3 pieces of data, dd/mm/yyyy, the container is actually sent through as one, but we would need a way to make it into 3 individual pieces of data, ie separate dd and mm and yyyy.

Is this possible and if so please inform on how to do this

Thank you and kind regards
Nic

nsund, I'm not clear on what it is you're trying to do. Can you provide a link to the page on your site where the Gravity Form is embedded so we can take a look at see what you mean? Thank you.

Hi, I am wondering if you would be able to help me: I have a day/month/year component on a website I want to call fro fake. The problem is: The entire component consists of three separate dropdowns and has only one id numer. Is it possible to somehow call those 3 separate dropdowns or do I need to talk to the website developer about assigning unique ids to all of the dropdowns?

You got the code from this post?
http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/fieldsets#post-17019

The HTML field in Gravity Forms is inside a list item by default. The code that Kevin provided for you in that post shows how to close the list item and list so you can add your own HTML and have that be outside the list items which are generated normally by Gravity Forms.

It's tedious work to get right, but if you take one field at a time, I think you should be able to find the source of your problem.

Going through the validation link you provided, I cleaned up what I could, but it appears as though gravity forms is erroneously adding closing tags where they are not needed or because the HTML block themselves are closing off the list and gravity forms is trying to do the same in order to create the fieldsets. If i gave you access to the admin, can you take a look to see what I might be doing wrong?

I got the original code from here:

http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/fieldsets

The other solution you posted did not seem to work at all as far as putting a field set around the group I need. Not sure, I may be implementing it wrong.

I see this JavaScript error on the page:

Timestamp: 3/14/2013 12:14:22 PM
Error: TypeError: parent is null
Source File: resource://pdf.js/web/viewer.js
Line: 61

I also see this extremely old version of jQuery being loaded:

Incorrect:

<script type="text/javascript" src="/lifeguards/wp-content/themes/splifeguards/js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js"></script>

WordPress 3.5 and Gravity Forms 1.6.11 should be using the jQuery which is included with WordPress: 1.8.3. That version is being loaded later in your page:

Correct:

<script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.superiorpool.com/lifeguards/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.8.3'></script>

Get rid of the link to the old jQuery library.

Also, please take a look at validating the markup on your page. There is also some invalid HTML in the page. That will create problems in some browsers and not others.

http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.superiorpool.com%2Flifeguards%2Fwelcome-aboard%2Freturning%2F

(Viewing the source in Firefox with syntax highlighting made it look worse than it showed up at the w3.org validator.)
