I have a developer making customizations to my gravity form install but he is not sure how to approach the following jquery ui effects request so looking for any information that will help me point him in the right direction.

I want to be able to add and control animation transitions between questions or pages utilizing jquery ui effects.

http://jqueryui.com/effect/
http://api.jquery.com/animate/

Either by creating one form and adding conditions to each question or by creating a multipage form and controlling the transitions in each page break field.

Here is an example of a form that does this:
http://www.ratemarketplace.com/forms/form.jsp?

Since the multi-page forms are technically not multiple, physical pages. They are just sections of the form that show and hide via jQuery like the example above I imagine this should be possible.

This may have been brought up before here:
http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/is-there-a-way-to-get-ajax-paging-to-fade-not-just-jump

Any info would be appreciated.

Hi!

I thought I'd give you an heads up that the chosen.js version being shipped with gravityforms does not work with jquery 1.9 < because it uses browser detection which has been removed from the jquery library.

Possible that you'll need to update this to a newer version?

Hi Guys,

Need some help here please,

Having trouble positioning the submit button in-line.

There is a lot of info about this on your support forums which I've read, I've also tried my themes support forum among others.

I'm very new to web development so forgive me if I've missed something.

I would like to position the button inline & closer to the text input.

The theme is responsive so the submit button needs to stay aligned at various page sizes.

So far I have managed to re-position the submit button inline but can't align the button.

Live Page: http://my-boiler.info/

An image of what I'm trying to do - http://my-boiler.info/re-position-submit-button.png

I've tried floating the footer to the right and using margin to target the button which works when viewing on a normal browser but not when resizing the page.

The theme I'm using is Enfold responsive.

The code I'm using -
* FORM BODY contains the main form content*/
body #gform_wrapper_1 .gform_body {

}
/*Postcode input*/
#gform_wrapper_1 .gform_body .gform_fields .gfield input[type=text] {
position:relative;
width:140px;
height:50px;
font-size:25px;
}

body #gform_wrapper_1 .gform_footer {
display: inline-block;
}

/*Submit button*/
body #gform_wrapper_1 .gform_footer input[type=submit] {
margin:0px 0px 0px 0px;
}

Some selectors are empty, I've just included above to give an idea of what I've tried.

Thanks,

Hi,

I am using Gravity Forms and the superfish jquery menu plugin. Unfortunately there is conflict and the menu is broken on the contacts page. I am not sure if it's a JS related problem, as the plugin loads, but the menu just doesn't work as supposed. I tried using noConflict mode for jquery, with no luck. Also I thought it has something to do with Chosen.js, but even if it's turned off it's broken.

Site is hosted at http://oakshamlet.com/contact-us/ and as you can see apart from the form page, superfish functions correctly.

Many thanks,
Z

Hi,

I'm setting up a site with the latest Wordpress 3.5.2. I am seeing a Javascript error in Firebug Console when clicking inside my Datepicker text box. The result is that the Datepicker popup doesn't appear.

TypeError: $.effects.effect is undefined

I did a little bit of googling, and jQuery may have moved the location of effects and not provided backward compatibility. Any suggestions to fix this?

I am adding the following code to the function.php file to achieve Google Analytics Event Triggers. I believe the code is right.

add_action("gform_after_submission", "gf_ga_tracking", 10, 2);
function gf_ga_tracking($entry, $form) {
?>
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'Forms', 'Submission', '<?php echo $form["title"]; ?>']);
});
</script>
<?php }

but I am receiving a ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined @ http://domain.com/request-service/#gf_5:3

I know I have to have jQuery added to the page. But I figured it was taken care of by another plugin from the following code on my page:

<script type='text/javascript' src='http://domain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-lightbox/js/jquery.min.js?ver=1.7.1'></script>

Does it need to be a specific version?
I disabled the plugin and I tried adding jquery by adding the following code into function.php:

add_action('init', 'add_jquery');
function add_jquery() {
	wp_enqueue_script('jquery');
}

now it has the following code in the page source:
<script type='text/javascript' src='http://domain.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.8.3'></script>

but still gives me the jquery not defined error.

Thanks
Greg
