I'm working on a site where I have a form that includes a liability waiver and rules. I'm using the members plugin for role management. I'd like to change a user's role automatically once they have completed the form. Is this possible?

Thanks!

I was using Capability Manager Enhanced and none of the Gravity Forms capabilities showed up except for the MailChimp plugin capabilities.

I switched to Members and it worked ok, but Gravity Forms might want to ensure capability with Capability Manager Enhanced as well.

Hi I tried to create a specific role for a customer, only to view all entries made on the forms i created with gravity forms. This almost works. I'm using GF 1.6.12 on the latest WP install. Using the "Members" plugin i assigned just the capabilities needed for this role and assigned that to a new account (not downgraded). I could only get this specific role to see the entries after i added the capability "manage-options". This is a capability IMO not needed to view entries and more annoyingly, leaves a capability to edit options of other plugins which i do not want the customer to see.
Any ideas? Many thanks

Can Gravity Forms (with the User Registration and Paypal PRO plugins) allow me to support the following:

1) Site contains posts which are restricted to a certain user level
2) User registers on site
3) User completes Paypal Pro embedded payment form and submits a recurring payment (monthly)
4) Paypal confirms user is paid and completes registration
5) User "level" is now elevated so all content can be viewed
6) User cancels recurring payment in 4 months time directly with Paypal and the site is notified by Paypal API and user level is adjusted so content is no longer visible (but user's account remains open)

Is this possible or is there a better way to go about this? I'm trying to avoid a bulky user subscription plugin and utilise more of Gravity Forms which will be employed in other areas of the site anyway.

Hi,

We're using Gravity Forms for lead generation purposes in our WordPress website. You could say that the form is the backbone of our site. Because we want to collect data from as many people as possible, we want to make sure that the threshold for entering the form is as low as possible.

So we don't want (recurring) visitors to log in at the beginning of the form, but at the very end of it. Just like on an e-commerce site where you enter your personal information or log in when you've registered before.

Until now, we haven't found a solution for logging in at the end of the form for already registered users. Could you please assist us in how to accomplish the log in feature at the end of the form without losing the entered data? We would be very thankful because it is very important for us.

New users are automatically created using the User Registration add-on, but a login option at the end of a form for existing users should be available as well.

If not available out of the box, can someone guide me or create a tutorial on how to achieve it?

Thanks in advance for your quick reply!

Kind regards,

Bart

Hello,

I've been using Gravity Forms in conjunction with the Members plugin ( https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/ ). I recently installed a third plugin: gf-tooltips ( https://github.com/norcross/gf-tooltips ). The gf-tooltips adds tooltip functionality to front end forms made with Gravity Forms. I believe there might be a compatibility issue between the gf-tooltips plugin and the Members.

I realize that both of these plugins are authored by 3rd parties, so I reached out to the developer of the Members plugin ( http://themehybrid.com/support/topic/activating-members-plugin-causes-other-plugins-setting-page-to-be-inaccessible ). The developer of the Members plugin said this issue might be related to the Gravity Forms gform_full_access capability. So that is why I'm posting this support message here.

Here's a description of the issue I'm experiencing:

When the Members plugin is deactivated, the gf-tooltips and Gravity Forms plugisn works as expected. When the Members plugin is activated, though, I can't access the settings menu for gf-tooltips.

If Members is activated, then the settings link is hidden from the wp-admin menu, and accessing the URI directly in my browser ( at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf-tooltips) results in the error message "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

If I deactivate the Members plugin again, I can access the gf-tooltips settings at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf-tooltips. The gf-tooltips settings page loads as expected, without outputting the error message "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

I've also created a Github issue on the gf-tooltips repository. Here's a link to that discussion: https://github.com/norcross/gf-tooltips/issues/8

Any help you could offer on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for making Gravity Forms!

Greg

Hi
My customer runs a site where several departments administrate their own forms. The forms and especially the entries from one department should not be accessible for the other departments.

I have tried the role management module, which seems insufficient as it only deals with permissions levels across forms - not specific forms.

Any ideas how to accomplish this. Otherwise it is a request for future development.

Best regards

I'm playing around with WordPress network. I would like to import a 'contact' form for all new blogs set up. The admin should be able to view and edit entries, but not be able to create new forms.

Good afternoon,

I have integrated Gravity forms into a Wordpress site and can easily view the entries made by customers when a form is submitted. However I wish to add another user so they can view the same entries as an editor or similar user but where they cannot change any pages or finer details.
I have tried all the themes settings and they can only view the entries if they are also an editor, is there a plugin or way I can achieve this as I would like the client to be able to read these entries but not have to worry about them accidently changing anything?

Thank you
