Everyone at this point should be running 128MB or larger for PHP and WordPress available memory. WordPress, its plugins and themes are getting more memory intensive and there is little reason why you shouldn't be able to find a host that would allow you that much memory.

I am running into this too but only since the last update (1.7.5) I guess it needs more resources. Problem solved by adding
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M');
to my wp-config.php file.

We are always accepting code from users, especially where we haven't had a chance to develop the feature ourselves or don't have the knowledge (translations being the biggest third party addition to the core of Gravity Forms). You can send us messages through our Contact Us form relating to any code you come up with.

I would like to be able to export the CSV's to the server, so they can be downloaded through FTP. This would also prevent memory issues with PHP, because the file is being used as a buffer.

For the developers this is probably easy to apply. If I have some time I will check if I can build this myself. Is it possible to give the diff to the developers so this option can be included in updates?

After upgrading to the latest version I had the exact same issue with the floating field boxes not letting me scroll down. I couldn't same the form or continue after adding fields.

I had to go into the Forms > Settings and turn "No Conflict Mode" to "On". After I did this I had all of my functionality back for creating/editing forms.

I increased my WordPress memory limit to 128M via my host and created a new form. I'm now able to save.

I am sure there are plugins that can lock down pages/posts based on if a user is logged in and a certain level, but that would be outside of Gravity Forms. Using our Payment and User Registration add-on, you can have it set so that if they don't pay their subscription, then they automatically get changed to a different user level.

Thanks for the update, it's good to hear you figured it out, I will leave the second part of your question for the Gravity Forms team as I don't have any experience in using it in that way.

Ok got it!

1) followed Richard's advice (thank you)

2) went through form and cleaned up code
3) previewed in GF and everything worked fine
4) But still did not work on website
5) went to plug ins on my own website and deactivated the last plug in that was installed; this is called WordPress HTTPS (which is a plug in for sites using SSL that forces them to do something)
6) everything worked fine with the form when the plug was deactivated
7) updated bad plug in and set a new setting in the back end
8) everything seems to be running fine

thank you all

I am working on it right now

Appreciate the help

Any thoughts on part 2 of my question:

And a totally unrelated question and one that I have been researching and would like your opinion: how effective would it be to use Gravity forms as a membership plugin? I see you can link to PayPal and Aweber, but was wondering how one could protect content in a membership that has different levels of access (gold, silver, platinum)
