I just had a client somehow accidentally delete a complex form I had created for them (*cries*)

It would be awesome if there was some kind of temporary trash thing it got thrown into instead of being immediately deleted. This could be similar to the way WordPress now does that with posts/pages/etc.

Thoughts?

Hi,

I need to be able to have front-end users of the form upload 99mb video files.
Is this possible with Gravity Forms? Are there any known issues with this?

Hello,

I have a business directory website that allows a user to edit their business listing details (partially, at least). Each business listing (a custom post) is assigned the user as author. I use GF basically as a frontend editor, pulling in the post field values on the edit post form. Then, I've locked all these users out of the WordPress admin area. It's pretty cool actually...

Here's the problem though. GF, by default, is only capable of creating new posts - not editing existing posts. Thus, when the edit form is called with an invalid post to edit (or none at all), GF defaults to creating a new post rather than displaying an unauthorized message. I need to change that.

Is there a hook or filter I can use to add my own authentication logic and block the form when it is called? I was thinking the gform_pre_render filter might do the trick. Can I do my permissions check there and unset the form or something? Then echo an unauthorized message instead? How can I block the form from displaying (rendering at all actually)?

By the way... GF does not respect the publish_posts capability in WordPress.

Any thoughts?

I read in instruction that there is possibilty to view entries only by the the creator of the entry but I need add also one user or one group to view entries created by the specific user.

Is it possible? I don't want to give access to admin dashboard, only on page site. This is employes degree form, one manager give degree for his employes in department for example HR and only manager has access to entries, but I'd like to give access to director of the department HR - olny for that department. Do I have to create diffrent forms separetly for each department or only one form? How to acheive that? I can pay extra money for script.

How much do I have to pay for that script on one site - do I need any add-ons?

One more question - is it possible to have print version on page with entries so manager could print chosen form?

Regards

I have a Wordpress multisite installation

I just recently upgraded the Wordpress version to 3.5.1.

Since the upgrade I see the following message on my admin dashboard

"Upload folder is not writable. Export and file upload features will not be functional."

If I de-activate the Gravity Forms plugin. The message disappears. When I activate it again, the message appears again.

I also see this message on the individual sites in the network.

I have checked the file permissions and I have even changed them to 777 and the error message is still there.

Hello!

Just one quick pre-sales question.

Is it currently possible, or will it be possible at any point to limit the number of forms a user can create?

E.g. A client wants to create 50 forms, we bill the client X and the client creates their own forms. When the client creates 50 forms, the client would then have to contact us to purchase more forms; that is to say, 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 or whatever.

I guess it kind of expands on the limit you have in your Gravity Forms Demo. A user cannot create any new forms.

This is a really important feature and could well be a deal breaker for me and a Gravity Forms developer licence.

Hi I tried to create a specific role for a customer, only to view all entries made on the forms i created with gravity forms. This almost works. I'm using GF 1.6.12 on the latest WP install. Using the "Members" plugin i assigned just the capabilities needed for this role and assigned that to a new account (not downgraded). I could only get this specific role to see the entries after i added the capability "manage-options". This is a capability IMO not needed to view entries and more annoyingly, leaves a capability to edit options of other plugins which i do not want the customer to see.
Any ideas? Many thanks

Hello,

I've been using Gravity Forms in conjunction with the Members plugin ( https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/ ). I recently installed a third plugin: gf-tooltips ( https://github.com/norcross/gf-tooltips ). The gf-tooltips adds tooltip functionality to front end forms made with Gravity Forms. I believe there might be a compatibility issue between the gf-tooltips plugin and the Members.

I realize that both of these plugins are authored by 3rd parties, so I reached out to the developer of the Members plugin ( http://themehybrid.com/support/topic/activating-members-plugin-causes-other-plugins-setting-page-to-be-inaccessible ). The developer of the Members plugin said this issue might be related to the Gravity Forms gform_full_access capability. So that is why I'm posting this support message here.

Here's a description of the issue I'm experiencing:

When the Members plugin is deactivated, the gf-tooltips and Gravity Forms plugisn works as expected. When the Members plugin is activated, though, I can't access the settings menu for gf-tooltips.

If Members is activated, then the settings link is hidden from the wp-admin menu, and accessing the URI directly in my browser ( at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf-tooltips) results in the error message "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

If I deactivate the Members plugin again, I can access the gf-tooltips settings at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf-tooltips. The gf-tooltips settings page loads as expected, without outputting the error message "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

I've also created a Github issue on the gf-tooltips repository. Here's a link to that discussion: https://github.com/norcross/gf-tooltips/issues/8

Any help you could offer on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for making Gravity Forms!

Greg
