I recently had to move a client website to a new host server due to an unfortunate Apache exploit. I reinstalled wordpress and all associated plugins as a precaution. The database was also migrated once it was inspected for any injected code. After the move was complete, I lost the two forms that existed on the site. Nothing shows up within the GF backend except to start a new form, a quick review of the database shows there are GF entries and, hopefully, form data. Iʻd like advice on how to proceed if possible.

- The domain did not change, which it seems can effect serialized data
- Now running 1.7.2
- Tried the metadata plugin, but the menu will not show a form to troubleshoot

Can the forms be rebuild from the wp database or core files?
Can the existing user data be acquired regardless of the form?
If the forms are reinstalled, will the entries return as well?

There is a chance I can export the forms from a staging server, but the user data is important to recollect. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

I looked at this further tonight and it is resolved. I'm not sure how it happened but the "username" field got set to admin only. Therefore it was causing the error message so it wasn't showing up on the form. You can close the ticket. Thanks.

Yes. When the card is declined or an error is received, you can view the source of the page and get the PayPal error code. You can contact PayPal for support on this issue.

I figured it out I think. I used Firebug to get the error message and found:

<!-- Subscription Error: 11586 Message: DPRP is disabled for this merchant. -->

My understanding is this is a setting in Paypal that my account is not approved for.

I get the same error in Preview Mode, deleted the GF plugin via FTP and then uploaded the version above, no hidden fields. I did change it so that it auto generates a PW for a new users. But that worked a few weeks ago.

If you try this form from the form preview, does it work properly there?

Are there any hidden fields in the form at all right now, maybe some that are marked required (but being hidden, that could never be true and would always fail validation.)

That bug existed a couple versions ago. Can you try removing the wp-content/plugins/gravityforms plugin folder, and manually install a new copy of 1.6.12 please? You can download a copy here http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/

If you just remove the plugin folder and upload a new one, you won't lose any of your forms, settings or entries. DO NOT click the "uninstall gravity forms" button on the Settings page. That will remove all data associated with Gravity Forms, including entries and forms. Just replace the plugin folder with a new copy (using FTP or SSH.)
