I recently had to move a client website to a new host server due to an unfortunate Apache exploit. I reinstalled wordpress and all associated plugins as a precaution. The database was also migrated once it was inspected for any injected code. After the move was complete, I lost the two forms that existed on the site. Nothing shows up within the GF backend except to start a new form, a quick review of the database shows there are GF entries and, hopefully, form data. Iʻd like advice on how to proceed if possible.

- The domain did not change, which it seems can effect serialized data
- Now running 1.7.2
- Tried the metadata plugin, but the menu will not show a form to troubleshoot

Can the forms be rebuild from the wp database or core files?
Can the existing user data be acquired regardless of the form?
If the forms are reinstalled, will the entries return as well?

There is a chance I can export the forms from a staging server, but the user data is important to recollect. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I have a problem with my contact form who doesn't work as expected.

When I post a submission on my contact page :
http://www.indiemusic.fr/nous-contacter/

The message part I received on my mail is cut after about 190 chars. Do you have any solution to solve this problem? (I try many times to be sure that's not a temporary bug)

Thanks in advance for your advice and help,

I downloaded and tried to activate gravity forms and got a fatal error message. After reading the forum support, I found someone else who had this problem and was told to delete the plug-in and re-download. So I did this. NOW when I try to install I get the message that the 'Destination folder already exists, /public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/ Plugin install failed.' I have no idea where to find this folder and I no longer see the Plug-in in my WP.

I'm new to all this so please use simplistic (layman's) terms otherwise I'll be lost! :(

I am new to wordpress and web building so please excuse an elementary speak!

Site: parlaystaffing.com

I recently built this site and purchased Gravity Forms to help me collect data from users. I went to check on the site this morning and the pages containing forms are blank. After going to the backend (wp-admin) page Gravity Forms called for some updates. Whenever I click for the update it redirects me to gravityforms.com, going to the plugin page I was able to do some updates but I still get notices to update?

These are the notices I have showing on the plugin page after I preformed the update:

"You need to install Gravity Forms to use the Gravity Forms Dropbox Uploader plugin."
"The plugin Gravity Forms + Custom Post Types requires Gravity Forms to be installed.
Please download the latest version of Gravity Forms and try again."

Furthermore I re-downloaded gravity forms and tried to upload it manually as a plug-in but it stated that it was already installed.

As I said, I am a beginner and don't know how to use the FTP side of things at all, I rely on building straight through the wordpress dashboard.

How do I fix this?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I wanted to update from 1.6.11 to 1.6.12, and the automatic update wasn't working properly, for whatever reason. So I decided to update manually - I download the gravityforms-1.6.12 folder, extracted it, and replaced the current gravityforms folder that was in my plugins folder with it.

That's all I did. I'm fairly new to WordPress, so I don't know if there's any more steps to this manual update process.

Anyways, with that change made, Gravity Forms now does not show up in the Dashboard, anywhere. Not in the Plugins page or anything, so I can't activate it. I had no forms before, so I can't tell if they would still be working.

Where did I go wrong? What can I do to fix the situation?

EDIT: To follow up, the problem has been fixed. Basically, I extracted the parent of the gravityforms folder to the FTP directory, and ended up with one folder too deep of hierarchy.

Hello.

I'm experiencing the following error on the forms page of wordpress. Everything is up to date and the forms appear to be working, I just can't access the form software from the wordpress backend.

This is the error message:

Conversion
Fatal error: Call to undefined function gform_tooltip() in /....../plugins/gravityforms/form_list.php on line 173

Thanks in anticipation for any help.

Everything was working good and then i installed the captcha to my settings and to both of my forms, now the forms work and run right... but now not only can i not edit them but i cant even create a new form in the program.

So I uninstalled the plugin went into my data base and dropped the 7 or 9 wp-rg tables i seen went back and re-uploaded the plugin to have a fresh start and say good buy to the captcha, and after I did the install when i went back to settings to put in my information in... it was all there already.

So i went back to the NEW FORMS area again to see if i could develop a new form and it is still all locked up. the navigation menu on the right side of the page that contains the elements is not folding up like it used to it is FULLY EXPANDED OUT all the way down and locked up, i can click on any of the elements and they will come over to the left side of the page but they are not editable and there is no save button anymore.

How DO YOU FULLY REMOVE your data from my data base so i can start over (what tables exactly) or is there a fix to the problem that i have tried to enplane to you.
To remake my 2 forms will take me hours that i don't want to spend on this, so a fix instead of a purge would be nice.

Since my end is all locked up im paying now for a dead horse... so without a fix im out a years worth of the feature some one please help...

When Gravity Forms plugin is activated administrators cannot log into the admin panel. When i rename the gravity forms plugin folder, it fixes the problem. Any pointers?

This message after enabling it: The plugin generated 4 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

And this message when i view home page: Notice: Undefined index: view in /wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/gravityforms.php on line 65

Apparently there was un update, however, it didn't say so. But on the plugin page, i checked the box next to the plugin and selected the update action from bulk actions dropdown and it updated.

Then i went to log out and it goes to a blank page. Same thing it does when i try to log in.

Still broken. Not fixed. Please help. Thanks.
