I'd like some more information about the security of transactions taking place with the Authorize.net Gravity Forms plugin. I have my forms secured with a basic SSL certificate, but I'm not sure that's enough.

When a purchaser enters credit card info into my form, are those credit card fields housed in an iframe and actually on an authorize.net server or are the fields actually residing in my form, on my web server?

My (limited) understanding is that if the fields are housed within my form, on my web server, then an SSL cert isn't actually very secure.

I'm finding few if any details about the security of the Authorize.net plugin. Where can I get this information?

I am planning to implement GF on my Intranet. However, diferente areas will have a group of forms to manage with privacy. Will GF is able to restrict the forms to be modifyed and view the content from each user with editor capabilities?
Eg. Human Resources will have 3 forms, IT will have 5 forms. How am I going to protect HR from IT, in design and content management?

Thank you.

Specifically 2 things:

1) The ability to choose to redirect users to ssl version of the page/form (checkbox option on the form config would work).

2) The ability to restrict form fields from being emailed. Absolute Form Processor .NET will encrypt specific fields and not include them on the email. The form admin has to visit the backend to access the encrypted info. This is particularly useful to us as we take SSN and student ID information in forms. Today our admissions application is handled this way and admissions staff log into the backend to get the full student data.

Hello,

I apologize, but I am a beginning user and I am not familiar with specific technical terms. My problem is that we have been using gravity forms for our volunteer application https://www.gsglavolunteerapps.org/ and concurrent forms. With the exception of a few hosting issues this has worked amazingly for us. Then last week we started having issues with Internet Explorer that iludes to a security issue. Our host indicated that it is a problem with the gravity forms plugin that is causing this issue. Can you please provide us with a solution? These forms are being used many many times a day and we are receiving very negative feedback because of this issue.

Thanks.

HI

Ive noticed that some of my requests are not coming through. It seems there have been some security issues.

My question is, how do I make the form secure and hack free?

Is that possible? Can someone change tthe codes within Gravity forms?

Please let me know

Hi,

I am considering buying this plugin, but one of the most important features I am looking for is encryption of the data in the database. is it supported?

for example: I would like to collect information from the user like Social Security Number, I noticed it is possible to configure a text field to have SSN input mask. Is it possible to specify that the field will be sotred encrypted? Also, when I retrieve the information I need to decrypt it.

If you can provide me some documentation / information on the encryption / decryption that is supported by the plugin that will be really helpful

Thanks
YL

Hello,

Bringing facilities to build forms easily is great. It s currently through the wordpress back-end.

Does Gravity Forms bring facilities to build forms through the website front-end too ?
That would allow, as one example, website members to create their own quiz/survey if the website ownner/developer offer this kind of capabilties.

In an ideal situation, the software would help the website owner/developer to define a visual form builder for the front-end (by defining what is displayed to the user, what kind of fields the user can create for a kind of form and so on).

Regards

There's a massive need for the ability to keep data safe after capturing it.

GF does a fabulous job capturing it, but absolutely nothing to help keep it safe. Please add the ability to encrypt data fields with strong encryption (AES 256 or similar).

I want certain data fields stored in the database - encrypted.

Can the GF team please consider putting this on the list of things to do? People have been asking for encryption from you for years now - you can read multiple posts on this forum about it...

I'd pay for this type of "Official add-on" if it were available. I'd be willing to pay $1000 or more if necessary. Even as a Developer License only add-on.

No, I don't want some custom coding form some GF expert over at ODesk.com. I want something from the GF team so it'll be compatible with all future releases and it will just work with no custom "jury-rigging" of forms.

I have many clients with forms that need certain data fields encrypted (such as drivers license, or social security, etc.) and presently GF can't do it without going through all sorts of extra steps (custom code).

Can this functionality be added to the main GF interface?
~ I want to be able to select the field(s) to be encrypted on a form by form basis.
~ I want the fields to be encrypted in the database, but visible to the admin when he/she logs in.
~ Having the admin enter an extra (difficult) pass-phrase within the GF admin area in order to un-encrypt the secured data fields would be acceptable if that strengthened the security.

Any light at the end of this tunnel? Can we please get this feature?

Thanks

Goodday,

I use the user registration add-on 1.5.beta1 and I (as a admin) would like to receive the new password users can generate through the update profile form. I want to know there password for customer support benefits.

Is this possible? I do get the standard WP e-mail when a user registers, with login information, but I also want to receive the WP notification e-mail when a user changes there password.

Best regards,

Joeri.
