3ABNWebmaster on "Notification email font size is small"

Some of my coworkers are complaining that the font size is too small in the emails generated using the
{all_fields}
tag. I read another support thread about this topic (http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/font-size-of-notification-email), but that thread was closed. So I'm adding my comments here.

I'm wondering if it's really necessary for the plugin to specify a 12-pixel font size? Specifying pixel-based font sizes creates problems for IE6/7, which cannot resize pixel-based font styles, and maybe other clients have the same issue. Why specify the size at all? My feeling is that it would look fine for most people with the font size left to default. And for those that need a different size, they could wrap the
{all_fields}
tag with CSS.

The current in-line font style implementation cannot be overridden. The only workaround is a very tedious process of making a custom form that uses all the possible tags, which in my case and probably many others is a lot of tags.

Simply removing the font specifications from the
{all_fields}
rendered output and leaving that choice to the users of your plugin would create a simple solution that would work for everyone.

I have a feature request and a bug report (a minor one) for the Quiz add-on:

Feature request: it would be great if we could use basic styling in question fields e.g. italics for certain words. At the moment that doesn't appear to be possible, and using em tags doesn't work (the tag displays as part of the question).

Bug report: When I am editing the Confirmation message and I opt to switch forms, the Quiz add-on switches to the different form and creates a new Confirmation message instead of opening the existing one. However it isn't obvious that a new Confirmation message has been created, and this can be confusing.

Hi, I have some required fields at https://www.newlifeconference.co.uk/booking/
If these are not used the error message displayed also changes the background colour and text of the form.
This clashes with my site styling which has a solid background colour and white text and so makes the text unreadable.
Is there a way to change this styling as it is also causing issues when the confirmation form is displayed which again changes the text colour and the background colour.

Hi,

I was hoping to find an easy way to style the unread form entries count on the dashboard. I have a client who finds it very hard to notice new unread entries on forms in the dashboard - yes he could/should use notifications but he'd like the dashboard to be a little more obvious when displaying these (maybe a background color, some padding around the anchor tag, etc).

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Shay

Hi, I have some forms in a sidebar and wanted to just have a description in the form box that can be typed over...

Say: First Name

In the field box so dont want to show the label... to make form more compact...

Im sure this used to be able to be done in form styling but just gives label placement now..top left right, and description above and below...

So cant see how I just have a description in the box field?

example of what I have http://aronagh.com/life-coach/

in side bar, want say on Newsletter form to just have descriptions IN the boxes...

Many thanks, in advance :)

Hi. I want to create a multipage form where I have 3 input fields on the first section. I want that first section to be a bit more visually appealing. In sections 2 and 3 i want a more traditional design.

Since the sections are loaded via jQuery and are not really on different sections I run into the problem that i cannot apply different styles.

Particularly i want to style the .main class which will contain the multipage form. Does any of you know how to solve it?

My theme uses different body classes for different pages. So maybe I should create 3 different forms which are connected with redirects.

Or am I leading in a completely wrong direction?

Hey guys, I am trying to create an HTML email notification for my contact form but it seems that JIGOSHOP is messing with the format/layout of that email notification.

It seems that they are hooking into the notifications for all forms, not just their shop related responses.

How can that be avoided?

I'd like to use a completely different html email layout for my other forms.

Cheers

Hello,

I'm having a hard time styling inputs buttons for my forms.
My goal is to use the css class included on my theme : class="button large black round" to have the input button looking the same as my other buttons.

I'm not a css expert and I tried to associate the css class to the button on the back office (éditing the form) I tried adding dots, spaces... but nothing works.

I'm also trying to have input buttons centered but I don't manage to.

One of my form URL / http://boxicomane.com/ajouter-box/

Help would be very much appreciated.
I'm sorry I know lots of persons have been asking about button styling, but I couldn't find the correct way to do it in the forum;

Thanks,

Hey team,

Is there a plugin playing nice with Gravity forms that automatically styles the appearance of checkboxes, radio buttons and the file browse upload button.

I had a look around for manually styling these elements but it seems to be quite difficult.

many thanks
