I helped my customer setup a website. There is one page using Gravity Forms. And visitors are mandated to upload 2 files with each one using its own input fields. Now we have over 200 entries. And we find that a handful entries' uploaded files are mixed up. For example:

Entry 757 has File1.doc and File2.doc. Submitted on: 2013/06/21 at 3:02 pm.
Entry 768 has File3.doc and File4.doc. Submitted on: 2013/06/21 at 4:35 pm.

Actually File2.doc should belong to entry 768, because the content of it matches the data in entry 768. And it's clear that the File2.doc and File4.doc are different versions of one Word file.

And other issue is that: since this is a website in China. Some visitors uploaded file with Chinese names. From backend, we found that most of the files' names had been changed to format like doc11.doc, ppt33.ppt, etc. But some of them had not been changed. Is there any rules or patterns?

Anyone can help with me on these 2 problems?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

I have a relatively long form with a lot of required fields, most of them being file uploads (23 upload fields). All the file upload fields are required. For some reason however the last three file upload fields aren't picking up the files I've chosen to be uploaded. I get the following error:

"There was a problem with your submission. Errors have been highlighted below.
..
..
..
This field is required."

The form is all on one page. There is some conditional logic involved if that makes a difference. I did a very bare bones test form with nothing but file upload fields (required) and I had no problems whatsoever so there's obviously something that I'm doing wrong here.

Any ideas what could be the problem? The form is used internally so I can't point to any url. I guess that can be sorted if needed though.

Thanks!

For a client who has jobboard I use the attachement to upload resume's to the specified directory..
nice 'n all but his webspace is cluttering up in no time, it would be nice if there was a way to manage the uploads that we recieve with GF.. and it seems there's no way to delete the files without ftp access

I created a simple form with a single purpose, to create a post and give the logged-in user in the front-end the possibility to upload a document through the file upload field. It's creating the post, but I can't figure out how to connect Gravity Form's file upload field to the Advanced Custom Fields file upload field in the back-end.

I've chosen a ''Custom Field'' for the form from the ''Post Fields'' and set the custom field name to ''Existing'' and chose ''file_upload'' which is the Advanced Custom Fields field name that I use in the back-end.

http://www.modassicmarketing.com/support/gravityforms/Screen%20Shot%202013-06-28%20at%209.15.58%20AM.png

This is how the front-end looks like if anyone cares to see:

http://modassicmarketing.com/support/gravityforms/Screen%20Shot%202013-06-28%20at%209.33.36%20AM.png

Submitting a document works flawless:

http://modassicmarketing.com/support/gravityforms/Screen%20Shot%202013-06-28%20at%209.35.00%20AM.png

Gravity Forms created the post through the document upload. But the file is not where it's supposed to be.. in the Advanced Custom Fields upload field:

http://modassicmarketing.com/support/gravityforms/Screen%20Shot%202013-06-28%20at%209.36.12%20AM.png

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I know that this feature has already been requested, but I can't find an open forum post to add my support for this feature to, so I've created a new one. I bought gravity forms specifically to allow users to upload images to be printed on showercurtains, and am using it in conjunction with woocommerce, but the file size required to get good resolution takes too long to upload without a progress bar and users are leaving the page before getting to the checkout page. A progress bar is a must, and a thumbnail preview would be nice too. Is the progress bar coming out anytime soon?

I have a Wordpress multisite installation

I just recently upgraded the Wordpress version to 3.5.1.

Since the upgrade I see the following message on my admin dashboard

"Upload folder is not writable. Export and file upload features will not be functional."

If I de-activate the Gravity Forms plugin. The message disappears. When I activate it again, the message appears again.

I also see this message on the individual sites in the network.

I have checked the file permissions and I have even changed them to 777 and the error message is still there.

Please help

Hi, I have a contest where people can upload a picture to win a prize. The problem is, if two people post an image called "image.jpg", the newer post (I think) overwrites the older post.

I'm running a validation function to prevent images that are too large or too small here:

http://pastebin.com/jRT9wXwk

On lines 27 and 28, I added a random number to the front of the file name, but I don't think it's working--even though when I look in the upload directory, I see the random number. Can you please tell me how to prevent duplicate files from being uploaded to the server? Thanks,
Ben

Is there a way to upload an image and show it to the customer?
Maybe with two forms?

And then be able to manipulate it like adding a border or show it applied on a canvas?

There are lots of posts about this topic, and I understand what the common fixes are. I am having issues uploading large files with Gravity Forms. I have increased my limits in PHP.ini and have no problems uploading a 1.6GB file using the Wordpress Media manager in the backend. When I try to upload files using a GF upload form field from the front end, it always times out. Specifically I get this:

Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.
