Brad on "Administrator Reply-To Notification Issue w/ GoDaddy"

Hello GF Team,

I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue my client is having with GoDaddy Web-Based Email not using the Notification to Administrator's Reply-To field that I have programmed to use the 'Email' field from each form submission. Whenever someone submits the form and the administrator receives the notification, if they click the Reply button in their GoDaddy email, it fills in their (the administrators) email address instead of the email from the form submission. I believe it may be using the From field email address from the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin settings.

What's really frustrating is that I believe Gravity Forms is performing correctly, because whenever I have the form administrator notification sent to my personal Gmail account instead of their GoDaddy account, and I hit the Reply button, it pulls the email address from the 'Email' field in the form submission, which is what I want it to do for them in GoDaddy as well.

Another thing to note is that this was working for months. I asked them when did they notice the change and they stated it was as of a couple weeks ago. Nothing has been changed to their settings for at least 5 or 6 months, so I'm starting to think that maybe GoDaddy changed something that's causing it to require the Reply To email address be the actual email address it was sent from as opposed to the Email address from the form submission. Have you heard of anyone else having similar issues recently with GoDaddy Web-Based Email or otherwise?

My client was on an older version of GF until today, when I updated them to v.1.6.2. However, updating didn't help either.

Thoughts?

Thanks for your help in advance!

I'm trying to set up notifications for one of my forms.

For this form:

http://www.texasshredderclassic.com/registration

The automatic notification email isn't sending.

However, I made a test form and the notification email works perfectly. The only thing I can pinpoint is that one form connects to authorize.net and has an SSL cert, the other form doesn't.

Could this be affecting the sending process? If not, what else can I do to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks!

I use WordPress version 3.5.1 along with Gravity Forms version 1.6.12 to publish a Client Questionnaire on my business website.

The only way that my customers can reach the Client Questionnaire page of my website is by first paying a fee to PayPal, which then redirects them to the questionnaire.

I cannot personally use a browser to access the Client Questionnaire page, because PayPal does not permit its own clients to pay a fee to test whether their forms are working properly, only to then request a refund of the fee they paid.

Therefore, I have periodically tested my Client Questionnaire form by going into my WordPress dashboard and pulling up the questionnaire page; then choosing “view questionnaire.” Doing so displays the correct website address, just as if I had reached the website page, using a browser.

Each time I have gone through this process, I have filled out the form, clicked on the “submit” button, and the form has faithfully been sent to each of the two e-mail addresses it is programmed to notify of a completed form.

Is there any reason to fear that these have not been valid tests, given the fact that I did not access the Gravity Form in exactly the same manner that my customers would access it (by using a browser, and being redirected by PayPal to the form)?

By the way, I know that the redirect by PayPal is working.

Thank you in advance for your always insightful support.

I've dug through what seems to be a dozen posts on this topic, but haven't been able to find a solution for my specific issue.

We recently moved a client's website to a new host and, since then, they have not been receiving their notification emails. Prior to the move everything worked fine. The bizarre part of this is that before AND after the hosting switch I continue to receive the notifications without issue.

What on the new server would be preventing my client from receiving the emails, but allow me to continue to receive them without issue?

Thanks in advance.

Hello All! First time posting here.

I have utilized Gravity forms many times on projects over the past year or so. Hands down the best form plugin I've tried.

Recently ran into an issue with two projects where the client wished to keep their email hosting separate from their site hosting and I haven't been able to push notifications from Wordpress to them when someone fills out a form. Tried various SMTP plugins with no success.

From what I can tell, it is all linked to the email being on a separate server. Even Gmail SMTP doesn't work when I give it a try. Any ideas?

(Side note: The Gmail authentication on Configure SMTP gives me a string of 535 errors. Double checked password a dozen times with no luck.)

Thanks for any and all advice!
Brad

My notification emails only work some of the time. It does work, just not consistently.

I have narrowed it down to this: if there is an IMAGE in the post submission (and I have it set to post as featured image) it will not send the notification. It will send if the form has no image.

This is a major issue for my site and need it resolved immediately. These admin emails trigger the moderator to review the post and serve as a receipt for the user, they are very time sensitive. I need to give the option to add an image so removing that field is not my fix. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

thank you

While developing a site I've implemented a contact form here, (http://legacy.playcreativedevelopment.com/?page_id=6), using version 1.5.2.8 of gravity forms. The entry gets saved appropriately to the database, however the email never gets sent. I've checked for both theme and plugin conflicts and found nothing. I have tried upgrading to version 1.6.11 hoping that it might fix my issue, and it did not. So I deleted my forms and data under settings and reinstalled version 1.5.2.8. What am I missing here?

When submitting the form on this site - officechairrepair.co.za - I wasn't receiving the email notifications. Entries were being saved in the admin, but no emails were being sent.

I initially thought it was a server/email issue, but upon finding nothing strange in the server settings, I paid and signed up for Twillio so that I could receive SMS notifications at the least...

STILL no joy :(

No error messages anywhere... The notifications - neither email or SMS - are being sent and I haven't a clue why / where to start looking.

Please help?
