I have a GF form with a wysiwyg field and everything works fine - all html is saved in the form entries. But once I activate Woocommerce's GF Add-ons extension, any html submitted via the wysiwyg field is stripped out and only plain text is saved in the form entries.

I've asked Woocommerce for help, but so far they haven't been helpful.

I've coded in php before but am new to Wordpress, Woocommerce and GF. I just need a little guidance on where to start or what to focus on. For example, when I'm looking through the code inside Woo's GF Add-ons, is there a particular filter or action that is associated with html stripping?

It seems Woo's GF Add-ons strips the html before saving the submitted data to the database. What would the line of code for doing this (strips html or saves to database) look like?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,
I am trying to create a database where when a user fills a form, a post of specific format is created and left under review for the administrator.

Now my database will have about 40 fields, broken down into 5-6 categories. What I am trying to achieve is, creating a content template for each category, which specifies how that data of that category looks like in a post. Finally I want all these template to be retrieved in the Post body to display them all together.

Is this possible? Or is there a way where I can get all the toolbars in the Post Body that I have when I am writing a normal post? This way I dont have to remember so many shortcodes and other tags.

I hope I was clear in describing my problem.
Thank you,
Flanar

hello,
im here because i was tricked into buying a different plugin and now i have to REALLY make sure the plugin is for me.

i bought a plugin for $150 and it was terrible.

the stupid plugin applied inline styling to the form!!? which means i could not style it at all and the plugin was bloated. when i asked for help, they said support would cost even more!?

so here i am aagin looking for a new form plugin. i hear this is the place. i have a few questions before i buy.

1) is there a wysiwyg editor for the front end user and can i style it to match my theme so when a user writes in it, he sees what he is really going to get. i hear there is an extension plugin for this?

2) if i already created custom post types and have attached custom fields to those types. is there a way to pull those in to the form creation?

im creating a classifieds site. I have a custom post type called classified. it has a custom field called address.
I want this field to appear on the form. so i can get their address.
later when another user comes and wants to reply to the user that created the classified he can press submit and it will email the user who posted via his address held in the custom field.
3)is the form FULLY stylable?

thank you and have a great day!

Hey,

I have 2 issues:

1. Is it possible adding an editor to the body field? is so, how?
2. After i click 'submit' for publishing a post - the post does appear on the site, but nothing really happens when i hit the Submit button. so users might get confused. There should be a Thank You messgae, or page should redirect...

Thank you

We are setting up custom XML notifications in the 'text' editor. If you switch from 'text' to 'visual' view, and then back to 'text'. All of the tags (i.e. <prospect> ) are removed, but the header XML main tags remain. Here is a form for an example https://dl.dropbox.com/u/62146180/contactus-export-2013-02-15.xml

The WYSIWYG editor isn't correctly displaying the content in the notifications builder while the content is correctly being saved in the database and the content is also correctly being displayed in the notification e-mails. So everytime I save a notification and want to do a modification, the only thing I see is an empty text area.

I've tried to disable the WYSIWYG in WordPress but no difference.

Help! :)

I'm running a job board using WP+GF and I'm eager to add the ability for job submitters to style their text with a WYSIWYG editor (CKEditor or TinyMCE) - this will be a huge time saver for me during content reviews.

I have a couple of major issues which I cannot manage to solve, I hope you'll be able to help me along the way:

- Is it possible to use a rich editor for other fields than BODY? I've tried with PARAGRAPH and it's not working, i.e. all the styling is stripped off in the backend. Is there any way to change this so that PARAGRAPH keeps all the formatting when submitted?

- When CKEditor or TinyMCE is used with BODY, there are a lot of extra spade added to the original content - this breaks the formatting entirely and makes it useless. Any idea why this is? I've already changed a setting in CKEditor to prevent it from adding <p> with each Return, but rather - this however didn't help.

Here's an example of how a form submission ends up in the backend:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1859110/GF-CKEDITOR.jpg

You can find the test form here:
http://berlinstartupjobs.com/temp-submit-job/

Many thanks in advance!

I've seen this question asked quite a bit in the forums ... "How do I add a rich text editor/TinyMCE to my form?".

I know that the guys are planning to support this in the future, but in the mean time here is a stop gap.

Insert a Paragraph Text field to your form

Change the CSS Class Name to "gf_html" (on the Advanced tab)

Paste this code -> http://pastie.org/3499029 in your functions.php

Be careful ... data validation gets trickier with HTML.
