We have no timeframe for adding the star rating field. We plan on adding some rating fields, however I wouldn't necessarily say we plan on having some sort of aggregate rating system. It's not meant to be a replacement for GD Star Rating which focuses specifically on post and comment ratings.

I am not aware of anyone integrating with GD Star Rating. But if it stores it's data as custom fields there shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't do something like this.

We haven't created a showcase. Forms aren't necessarily as sexy as themes. A lot of the major theme developers use Gravity Forms on their own sites. WooThemes, StudioPress, Press75, iThemes, etc. We have thousands of users across all sorts of industries.

Thank you for the quick response.

Regarding 5), do you have a time frame as to when you plan on adding a star rating field, and do you plan on allowing the ratings from multiple forms/posts to be combined into an over-all/aggregate rating system? ie multiple ratings on a specific "thing" through several user-inputs contributing to an over-all rating of said "thing"?

Also, Regarding the integration with GD Star Rating that you alluded to, has anyone using your product successfully implemented this? And is this something that is/would be dealt with in the support forum?

Finally, aside from the demo, is there a showcase of sites currently using gravity forms?

Again, thanks for taking the time to respond!

1) Yes, you set the status of the post that is created. It can be Draft, Pending Review or Published depending on what setting you choose when setting up the form.

2) The title of the post is determined by a Post Title field that exists in the form. In the 1.4 version that is currently is in beta you have the ability to create a template for the Post Title and hide the Post Title field and then create the Post Title field by combining the value of other fields. So you could do what you described.

3) If the user is not logged in, the author of the post defaults to whatever user you select when setting up the form. You select the default author.

4) If the user is logged in you can opt to make them the author of the post. That is an option on the form.

5) GDStar Rating cannot be embedded in the form and Gravity Forms does not currently have a star rating type of field. We do plan on adding one in the future. BUT if you are wanting to integrate with the GD Star Rating plugin and you know what custom field key is used to store the star rating you could pull this off using a dropdown that stores the value as a custom field using the same key that the GD Star Rating plugin uses to store this rating data. Then it could be displayed on the frontend.

1) Is it possible for a filled out form to become a post, pending moderation (approval) by an admin?

2) How is the title of the post determined? I would like the user to enter a title in a field and have that joined to a predetermined prefix, so that the title of the post would be "Prefix - User entered title". For example, if the form was being filled out in a category called "red widgets" and the user entered the title "They are not worth the money", then the title of the post would be "Red Widgets - They are not worth the money". Is this possible?

3) If the user is not logged in, who would be the author of the post?

4) If the user is logged in, would that user automatically be the author of the post?

5) Can I embed GDStarrating into the form?

Thanks.
