I am using gravity forms api to update mailchimp. I'd like to see an email notification when someone joins the list. I have enacted this in mailchimp, but it is not working. I do not use double opt in from the api. I submitted the question to mailchimp but they directed me back to gravity forms support. More details below.

Subject: Mailchimp Support: not getting email notification using gravity form api

Hi Garry,
Thanks for your email! To clarify a bit, our integration with Gravity Forms is handled by the folks at Rocket Genius. If you're looking to adjust the notification settings for list subscribes when gravity forms is not set to use the double-optin feature, you'll want to have a peek at the documentation for the plugin found in the article below. If double-optin is being utilized, our default notification system should work as expected. These settings are located under the Lists tab: list defaults and notifications.

We are hoping to make them available by the end of this month. The add-ons will most likely be around $20 or so. We haven't finalized the pricing. Just be aware that AWeber integration is problematic because they do not provide a traditional API we can interact with so if you plan on using Gravity Forms you may want to consider MailChimp.

I have to make a decision about Aweber or Mail Chimp in the next few weeks.

How far away are you from releasing this and how much will you charge for the add-on?

Thanks,

Craig,

You would need the Gravity Forms MailChimp Add-On in order to do this. Currently the Gravity Forms MailChimp Add-On is only available to Developer License holders. All add-ons are free to those that purchase the Developer package. We do plan on making the add-ons available for a small additional fee to non-Developers in the near future.

I only have the multi-site license and I like MailChimp's pay as you option and am looking to use it as an autorepsonder system.

I am looking for a way to have the email notifications in Gravity forms send an email on behalf of the the person who fills in the form to a Mail Chimp autoresponder - like what Aweber lets you do.

I want to be able to send a series of three emails to the form filler over three week period.

How do I set up a form and Mail Chimp to do that?

Thanks!

Craig
