I would use the Members plugin by Justin Tadlock.
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/

After you install and activate that as an administrator, you will lose your form menu temporarily. That's OK. Navigate to the new menu under Settings called Members. wp-admin/options-general.php?page=members-settings

You can configure a few things there. Once there, navigate to Users > Roles.wp-admin/users.php?page=roles Now, edit the administrator role to give yourself all the Gravity Forms permissions. They all begin "gravityforms_" and will probably be unchecked (this is why you lose the Forms menu.)

Once done with that, edit the role you want to assign to your client, and give them access to the specific areas of Gravity Forms that are appropriate. Good luck.

I have a site for a client in which they need to login to manage the form submissions which appear in the dashboard of wordpress. I want to make this client a contributor or editor instead of an admin but when doing so, the gravity forms module will not show up for them.. is there a way to accomplish this..?

Screen shot http://logoicons.s3.amazonaws.com/gravity.jpg

I tried user role / admin role plugins but could not figure out how to make it happen..
