In that screenshot, the status is just a form field that was submitted by a visitor. I don't think that's what you want.

What you want is an "admin only" field in your form, with your statuses. Add a drop-down field to your form, with all the statuses that are possible. If it's not possible to know all the possible statuses, you might have to use a single line of text, where they could type the status in. It does not matter where in the form this is inserted: we're not going to show it to visitors. I would select an initial default value as well. I choose "New".

Screenshot: http://min.us/mq7PRN#2

After you have added the drop down of statuses to your form, click the Advanced tab of that new form field, and check the radio button that says "Admin only". That will show the field in your admin, and you can use it to manage the status. Here's a screenshot showing the advanced tab. http://min.us/mq7PRN

Now, when a form submission comes in, you will be able to edit the entry (click the blue Edit Entry button on the form detail page) and set the form status using the drop down. Screenshot: http://min.us/mb3qXB3

I think this will work perfectly for what you're trying to do. Please let us know if you need any more help.

Hi,

I recently purchased a Business license for Gravity Forms. One of the main reason my client wanted to go with Gravity Forms is the "Status" feature in Entry Management (seen in the second image here: http://www.gravityforms.com/features/entry-management/ ).

They need to be able to manually set custom statuses for each individual enquiry (Eg "On Hold", "In Progress", "Completed"), to be able to easily see the progress of handling each enquiry, and then preferrably be able to order entries by status.

However, when actually installing Gravity Forms on a test site and looking at the entires, the Status field does not appear there. Where can the status be found and how can it be updated?

Thanks
