I'm not sure about DKIM. I know Joost mentions an SPF record specifically. You could try it.

The issue is that Gravity Forms can make the notifications come from any address you want. Some hosts prevent that at the origin, since it looks like you're an open relay, sending email from anyone. On the receiving end, some email providers reject email that does not appear to come from a legitimate source (mismatch between the domain the mail is received from and the email address it pretends to come from.)

Thanks Chris. I know it's not your remit but as Google Apps has it, would using DKIM authentication help with this on our domain?

Please try installing an SMTP plugin. We normally recommend one of these two:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/configure-smtp/

Once one of those is installed and properly configured, please report back. The admin email being on the same domain and not being delivered is likely a host restriction. And Google Apps has difficulty as well when the email from address appears to be spoofed, as it will with Gravity Forms.

Hi,

we're not getting any admin notifications at all when the recipient has the same email as an account. User notifications are sent fine, as are admin notifications if I change the email address to a non account one.

Has anyone else had problems like this?

We're using WP 3.3.2 and GF 1.6.4.5

We're using Google Apps for our email if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

James
