The issue is that Gravity Forms and really WordPress doesn't have a system to approve users. They either exist or they don't. Even most plugins are only going to create a system where users exist without permissions and then approving them gives them proper permissions. I don't know of anything that will hide a user, once created, until approved.

Hi, I have tried the advice above. GF User Registration AddOn and New User Approve. GF works, as always, really good, but the user created is not held for moderation (approve).

The new user is visible in BuddyPress members list. What needs to be done to avoid this?
Thank you in advance, /E

(My installation is WP, bbPress, BuddyPress and S2Member, GF (all latest))

The user is created by Gravity Forms immediately, just as it is with WordPress. However, you can modify the behavior of your WordPress installation with the addition of a plugin like New User Approve.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/new-user-approve/

I am looking at upgrading to the Developers license. I know this question has been asked before by searching the forums - but each link I would click on wouldn't show me the actual forum since I'm not licensed for the User Registration AddOn.

So - my question is with the User Registration AddOn - can you "Approve" a user before they are allowed to log in with their U/P? Upon Approval - I'm assuming an email would be sent to them with their logon credentials. Or - are they automatically a user after completing registration and can immediately log into my site?

Chad
