I was feeling that if you create List A -- that has an "Automation rule" to subscribe to List B....that it might work out.

Granted that you set "List A" to No Confirmation.

Does that work for anyone?

It looks to me that the only way they allow avoiding the double opt-in requirement is by using Aweber's own form builder..so I think we are stuck with the double opt-in requirement.

Yes, we are definitely sending details through their API and would be limited by whatever rules they have determined to be in the best interest of their business.

Thanks guys

Yes, the require opt-in setting in aweber is set to no, but I think Carl Hancock is right and that they force double opt-in. I asked aweber and they said that they don't know about Gravity Forms specifically, but anythng using their API will be forced to use double opt-in. I assume GF is using the API.

I think Carl Hancock's reply here still stands:

http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/aweber-always-sending-the-confirmation-email-to-user

The advantage & disadvantage to Aweber is their strict policy, which gives them clout when dealing with deliverability issues with the big players like hotmail.

Do you have the "Require Opt-In on Web Forms" setting at AWeber set to "no", and it's still forcing a double opt-in? There is no setting in Gravity Forms that I am aware of.

We have insalled the aweber add-on and want to use it t sign people up to a list without the double opt-in. We just want single opt-in by filling out the form. Is this possible? It seems to force double opt-in.

Any advice is appreciated.
