Hi,
not sure whether I follow all of the above... It's basically point 3. above
"You created a User Registration feed and mapped your BP profile fields to your Gravity Forms registration form fields." I do not understand.

How do I map the BP Profile fields to GF user registration form fields?

How can I get my gravity form to be the default buddy press registration? How do I quote btw?
What about using a redirection plugin, that automatically redirects from /register/ to your GF form? I used the quick page post redirect plugin for something similar. Worked great! And no funny hiding necessary....

How can I get the industry fields into bp fields without typing them in one by one?

Could you clarify on your setup for this? A couple screenshots would help. :)

How can I get my gravity form to be the default buddy press registration?

This is a real pain in the rear and I honestly don't have a great solution. I did a project recently where I did this and it was probably the hackiest solution I've ever done... :P

http://pastie.org/2010320

I basically hid the original registration form and then got the page I had added my GF registration form to (with some other content as well) and outputted everything to the page.

If anyone has any recommendations on this, please feel free to share. :)

Ok, so quick review:

You created a registration form with Gravity Forms.

You setup your BuddyPress profile fields with BuddyPress.

You created a User Registration feed and mapped your BP profile fields to your Gravity Forms registration form fields.

You submitted the Gravity Form and a user was not created?

I must be tired, but I can't find a solution here.

I created the buddy press field setup.

Then I created a user registration form with gravity.

I went back to re-map some missing fields in the bp field setup, and was surprised to see one of my selectbox field populated. I coudn't recreate that. I wanted to add "industry" since gravity forms includes a nice set of data already available, but I couldn't figure out how to move that into the bp profile field setup.

Ultimately, I created a new "page" at /registration/ and added the registration form to it. But when I tested it, it simply said thank you. I'm not sure if it captured the data. It didn't actually create the user either.

Also, buddypress defaults signups to /register/ and that shows the normal buddypress signup instead of the gravity form.

So what am I missing? I guess I'm a video tutorial guy. :)
