I agree. The import/export feature is invaluable. Good luck.

Thanks, Chris. I actually had a contractor build the form, which saved me the import step. I will need to replicate the fields in my CRM, so have used Access to extract that info from the XML.
I am also developing this form for a client who has a preferred hosting company, so I'll need to move it.
...so thanks for the import/export, it makes life easier.

There is no published XML spec, so your approach to create and export one sample form is a good one.

Hey Chris...I have this same issue, so the Subject caught my attention...think mortgage application.

I was thinking that it would be efficient to do an import of an existing form, either from HTML or PDF/text, if I could find the XML specification. Since I have not yet, I will just make a sample form and export it, so that I can learn the spec. Any thoughts about this approach? Feel free to move this to a new thread. Thanks!

The hacky way is to export the XML of the form and merge the pieces manually. You have to be sure to update all the field IDs, but that's the only way to do it that I know of.

I have quite a few long forms I need to build 1 field at a time and was wondering if there's any way of building forms in parts and then merging the parts somehow as I find scroll to the bottom each time is a bit of a chore with very long forms.

It might be nice to be able to build multi-page forms or multi-part forms in chunks.

If there's any ideas for simplifying this process whether its a hacky way or not I would be interested in learning more.
