You can do this with the User Registration add-on. You can require that the user is a logged in WordPress user before showing them the password protected page. That is WordPress functionality. Gravity Forms can handle registering the user and signing them up for your email newsletter. I think the best way to handle this many users, logins, passwords and profiles is by leveraging the built-in WordPress capabilities. Gravity Forms will help capture their information, but requiring the user be logged in before showing them the protected content is WordPress functionality, not Gravity Forms functionality.

Hi all and thank You for the great product.

We have a client who wants to know if we can create a video podcast page which is password-protected, and which requires the viewer to sign up for the website's e-mail list in order to receive a personal login to the page.

We do not want to set up a standard password-protected page in wordpress, but rather we wonder if there is a way to have a page present itself with a message saying something like "Please register to receive your personal login to this page"....and then they enter their e-mail address and have a password sent to them just like you all do to gain entrance to this forum. The users would then be able to change their password in their own user account, also just like you have here on this forum.

I guess that this would entail having some way of capturing and storing thousands of e-mail addresses and managing their logins.

Can gravity forms do this?

Thanks so much,
scott
