Hi Carl,

Inserting a form is now working like a charm!

I decided to download two new browsers, Safari and Google Chrome.
I just used Safari now to see if "insert form" could both see and insert
my newly created form and it could and it did. I'm also going to see if I
get the same result using Google Chrome. In any case, I am back on
track and very happy.

Thanks for your help!

@celinehoran If you see it in IE and not FireFox then it's a cache issue. I understand you said you cleared your cache, but it must not have actually been cleared. Because if you see it in one browser, and not in another then it's an issue with the browser. The data is the same.

If the "Insert Form" does not work, it's alsto most likely a browser cache issue also. The Javascript isn't loaded so it's unable to insert the form. So it's most definitely some sort of browser issue. Anytime this happens, with the exception of the user above who hasn't responded to my latest post yet with additional information, it's always browser cache related.

Either way, you can still add a form to a page by inserting the shortcode yourself. Here is documentation on embedding a form:

http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Embedding_A_Form#Shortcode_Manually

I'm having the exact same problem as Sandy and others.

Yesterday I created one form and it inserted into the desired page - no problem. I then created a new form for another page, my resource page, and I cannot find the newly created form in the "insert form" prompt box.

I cleared the cashe in my firefox browser and no change. I then tried to find my new form in IE and was in luck, I could find my new form in the "insert form" prompt box but when I click "insert" nothing happens - no form inserts into the page.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by you can do a plugin to the home page, but you can't place a form onto the contact page? Can you provide more details?

- Are you unable to use the "Insert Form" functionality to insert the shortcode on to the page?

If so completely clear your browsers cache, restart your browser and try again.

If that isn't the issue, please provide more details as it isn't clear what you are having a problem with.

I have had the same problem. I am not the best with all the computer lingo, so easy does her. I have followed the instructions for the theme/plugin conflict and that does not seem to be the problem. I can do a plugin to the home page, but no go when I try to place a form onto the contact page. Not sure what to do next. Thank you for your help. Sandy

@brianmayer Just keep in mind that if this is a theme/plugin conflict causing this issue that you may run into other issues due to this theme/plugin conflict causing Javascript problems. So it could cause bigger issues for you down the road, not necessarily with Gravity Forms but any other plugin it may cause problems for. So it's always good to determine what is causing a conflict so you can then see how to correct it.

Ok well, teting for a theme/plugin conflict is not practical for me (live business site that requires the theme and plugins), so I guess I will just live with manual emebedding. Not the end of the world. Thanks.

Nope, it's not automated. I typed it because thats typically the issue.

If that isn't the issue then you could be encountering a plugin or theme conflict. Nobody else is reporting this issue and when it does occur it's typically due to browser cache. To test for plugin or theme conflicts you need to follow the instructions here:

http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Testing_for_a_Theme/Plugin_Conflict

Is that an automated response?

I've searched the forums for a solution to this issue, but I've only found that is must be a browser cache issue. I cleared my browser's cache, but that didn't help.

I said in my post that I already found that solution and tried it. I even went a step further and tried using a browser that I hadn't used yet, so there would be no cache. First browser was FF4 second was IE9.
