Hi Hal,

With 1.6 (due out next week, release candidate available on the downloads page now), we've added the ability to "bulk print" and have an option to print with a page break after each entry. :)

Let's forget pdf then for a minute .... but there is a way to print multiple entries so they look like the built-in Print feature I see on the Individual form edit screen (lower right corner)? That would certainly suffice. And/or using a hook to batch those, would also work fine. PDF isn't an absolute requirement, it just needs to be decently formatted with one submission per page. Thanks.

That is not currently possible. There is no PDF functionality built in to Gravity Forms.

However, you can print an entry or multiple entries, and you can have a PDF printer installed on your system, so instead of printing to an ink jet printer, you print the entry to PDF.

If that does not suffice, there are hooks available to access the form entries, and you could use a PDF creation library to create your own custom PDF reports in whatever format you like.

Well, actually one of the forum posts I found on google and was trying to find again the pre-purchase forum involved saving submissions as pdf's and somehow linking to them. So this is not possible with a default installation?

Last question. Thanks!

Hi Hal,

Gravity Forms is chock-full of hooks (both actions and filters). Additionally, if you can make a solid case for a new hook, we're typically more than happy to add it.

We don't provide default functionality for exporting entries as a PDF; however, it is certainly possible using Gravity Form hooks. We provide a significant amount of documentation for each hook and are more than happy to answer questions that may pop up while you're working on this functionality.

Let me know if you have any other questions. :)

What's the pre-purchase forum used for then? I can read posts, I just can't search, then read.

Here is my question ... I'd like to make it easy for a site owner to access submitted forms as pdf's. I know they can be drilled down to, and printed one at a time. That is too time consuming for this use case. I either need a batch mode, or maybe to be able to save submissions as pdf's and some easy way to link to them (preferrably in some easy to remember naming scheme).

If the code is extendable to be able to handle that, that is fine. In fact, I'd like to know more about things like WP actions and filters that might be available in general.

Thanks.

Hi Hal,

Most forums are locked down for registered users. You'd need to purchase a license before being able to access any of the support forums.

If you have a specific question on functionality, we'd be happy to answer it here. :)

I am in interested in using gravity on an upcoming project. I need to know some details that I can't find in the general documentation. I see topics that I think might be what I need in the pre-purchase forum. But anytime I do a search, and then click a topic, I get what amounts to a permission denied message that says not all content is available, blah, blah, blah.

Is this a bug or do I need to request some kind of permission to view these posts?
