I have a similar problem. Two forms; manual and paypal that should be the same. The Duplicate form feature resulted in a form that did not work, so after many changes to one of them, and getting it to work with all my custom fields, i exported both forms to better compare, find typos, and inconsistencies. However, when i imported them back, GF creates new ids for each form, a big pain, as you have to then recreate all new feeds for User Registration, Paypal, and MailChimp for each of the forms. It would be way better to have a feature when importing to replace an existing form. (Just a note to say, editing forms in the forms editor is pretty horrible. if you update the form, after editing or adding a field, it closes the field edit box, and goes to the top of the form, so you have to scroll down to where you think you were over and over again. If you could edit in say, Text Wrangler or BBEdit, it would so much easier.)

Hi,

I am wondering how you would go about changing the ID of a gravityform. I created a new improved form on my local development copy of my site and then imported into the production site using the Import Forms function. When I imported though I noticed it gave it a new form ID - what I needed was for this new form ID to be "1" which was the ID of the old form (we have an iphone app that sends data based on the form ID).

I attempted to do this by editing the database but have come stuck. I thought by modifying rg_form and rg_form_meta I would be able to swap around the ID's however its produced massive errors.

So my question is basically this:

If I am going to import a new form, once done how do I go about changing the form ID to be something different then the ID it is given. Please consider the number I want to use for the ID was once used by an existing form.

Any help would be great. Thank you.
