Form id's are permanent and they are not customizable. You can't modify or change the field id's otherwise the form itself won't function properly. Gravity Forms is a form processor so it needs complete control of the field id's to know how to properly process and handle the forms.

The only thing I can do for this is going to be to discuss this with our lead developer and see if this is something we can add as a customization option down the road.

What you might have to do if you don't want to introduce a new bookmarklet is see if what you already have done could be customized with additional client side javascript you place on your site so that it provides backwards compatibility.

Hello,

I have form that I'd like to integrate with an existing piece of javascript to prevent users from having to "reinstall" the bookmarklet. When the form builder creates an id for the field, is that id permanent? If I change "input_1_9" in the html markup and php, will I break anything else in the plugin?

Thanks,
Joey
