Hi, Brian,

I do not know of any scenario that would cause your drop down field to not be an available option for doing conditional logic on the single line text field. Try creating a simple form with just two fields, a drop down and single line text field. Then see if your drop down is available for selection when clicking the enable conditional logic checkbox for the single line text field. If your drop down field isn't listed, then we should split your issue off into a new topic and continue troubleshooting. If it does show, then try adding on the fields from your other form and build it out from there.

I am trying to accomplish the same exact thing... I have created a drop down (user selecting a post category) If they dont choose a category I want to show a single input field where they can "Suggest A New Category" however when I try to select the show conditional logic, it is only giving me the option to show the single field when a Checkbox from a previous field is selected.. I do not get the Conditional Drop Down Options that your image is showing..

Please advise?

Conditional Logic is extremely simple to implement. Here is a quick description:

http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Enable_Conditional_Logic

Conditional Logic can only be triggered by drop down, radio button and checkbox fields.

You apply conditional logic to the field you want to show or hide based on the selection of another field. You edit the field, select the Advanced Tab and enable conditional logic. You then configure the logic to show or hide that field using the available options.

See this screenshot, it shows my drop down field above the input field i'm adding. I've selected the advanced tab, i've enabled conditional logic and i've configured the settings I want for the condition:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/185347/Slingshot/Pictures/Screen%20Shot%202011-12-07%20at%201.05.59%20PM.png

There isn't really a whole lot to it so the best way to learn is to do it. Create a test form and play around with the functionality. Add a drop down, then add a single input field and configure the single input field to only display when the second item in the drop down is selected.

Hello - I have searched to find more examples of using conditional logic without luck. I would like to create a form such as this: http://gravity.chrishajer.com/event-registration/

Is there any documentation on how to create the logic for those types of fields in this form? Or is it possible to get an export of this form to use as a basis for learning?

Just purchased the form yesterday so am still learning and appreciate any advice. Thanks!
