At this point it's looking like it's better suited as an add-on rather than core element. We've discussed making the add-ons available for purchase individually in the future, but haven't decided when just yet. We'll make official announcements later on both points.

It will be an add on ?? hum.
Is it possible to get hold of it without a developer license once its out ?
The dev license will be a bit too much for us : (

Well, it's not impossible to create a post, it's just limited in how you can format the post body content.

I'm not entirely sure which hook Carl was referring to offhand, I would have to inquire further about that myself. I do know that it would take more than a "bit" of custom code to pull it off.

I've seen the new post body add-on that's in work and it's pretty nice but definitely a complex tool to build. I'm not sure how soon it will be until it's completely tested and ready to go, but it won't be too long. We still have the next release in beta and need to get that out the door first.

I am really sorry, I think I was a bit desappointed to see that it is impossible to create a post from form data.
So I was desperately trying to find a solution.

Anyway thanks for answering : )

What about the hook mentioned by Carl in the thread you mentioned ?
"This can be accomplished by using the available API hooks and writing some custom PHP. "
Basically he is saying it is possible with a bit of custom code ?

Patience man, you question has been up for less than a day.

No, there currently isn't a way to generate a custom post body. The thread you referenced has the answer you're looking for.. We're currently working on a method to do this, but it won't be available for a little while yet.

What seem to be the problem ?
No one seem to even want to reply to that topic.
Is my question stupid ?
Please explain...

If anyone could answer this question ? I would be probably able to do the rest on my own.

Hi everyone,
I am setting up a system that will allow users to fill in information about an event via a form.
So basically I am asking the following information in the form:
Title of the event (Post Title field)
Date of the event (Date field)
Description of the event (Post Body field)
Category of the event (Post Category field)

In addition I want to form to generate a post from this information. It does generate a post from the following fields: Post Title, Post Body, Post Category.

However I want the Date field to appear in the body of the post. And it seem to only show up in the form entry (no sign of it in the post).

Is it possible to generate a custom post body from a number of entries ?

Thanks you very much
