If you want to encrypt data you would have to do so as a customization. We would like to create an encryption add-on to make this easier in the future. Security is one of the reasons we haven't created a Credit Card field type. </p> <p>We don't plan on implementing a Credit Card specific field type until we introduce Add-Ons for payment gateways such as Authorize.Net and PayPal Pro.
