Hi Carl, is there any news on this particular problem?

I have made a screenshot that hopefully explains the problem: http://skitch.com/pietbos/rdk7h/currency-symbol-phpurchase-gravity

Once the order is done, it all looks good (i.e. in Euros) on the cart, but it is just very disturbing that the form can only run correct with the +$xx.xx as it shows in client areas too.

Looking forward to receiving an update on this.
Thanks,
Piet

I'll have to look into it further to see what would need to be changed in order to allow this.

Can you clarify, you are indeed using a Number field on your Gravity Form for the field that you are trying to store a money value in, correct?

Thanks Carl. That is a strange behaviour. To be honest it really makes the all process a bit odd as the £ is not being recognized. even when i try to change it in the "Value" section it wouldn’t go. Really it leaves me a bit in a problem with the way I will be presenting prices to my clients. is there a way to use GBP or USD instead? or would the system simply won’t recognize it? any other suggestions to overcome this issue?

thank you,

Daniel.

I'm not familiar with the PHPurchase integration. If you are using a numeric field to store the value then currently it only supports certain characters, with the $ being one of them but not the £ sign. We can look at updating this to support other currency symbols. Ideally PHPurchase would just pass 15.00 and not £15.00 but that is coming from PHPurchase and not Gravity Forms.

Hi, im using GBP £ with my Gravity / PHPurchase. Although i have changed the currency in my PHPurchase to £, it seems that still when using extra fields in the form such as adding extra services or products for extra money (i.e. Extra blue shirt + £15.00) during the check out process it seems that Gravity form couldn’t recognize the £ sign and ignore it. To debug the issue i have changed the same value only this time used $ (USD) it worked perfectly.

This led me to believe this is a script issue rather than my set up issue.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Daniel.
