Kia Ora,

I'd like to know how to customise the notification email when I use the GF variable "{all_fields}". Whilst I don't have a problem with the layout and general look and feel of the "{all_fields}" notification, I would like to customise the notification TITLE background colours (currently a cornflour blueish colour) to coincide with existing colours used for our website.

Our site (http://www.main.teroopuatawhai.com/) uses 12 forms. Of those 12 forms, 7 are extensive in terms of the information gathered (Membership Registration, Netball, Touch Rugby, Performance Booking, Cultural Ambassador, Funeral Notice, Event Notice), whereby it would be impractical to add each GF variable individually - hence why we use the "{all_fields}" variable.

Thanks in advance for providing the CSS to change the notification TITLE background colours.

Reubz

Ok, thanks Carl. That makes sense.

I was thinking there might be one of the php pages I would alter to wrap around the email I format in the Notifications settings... but I had my head thinking about it it totally the wrong way.

I understand now... design the html template, then paste the whole code in to the Notifications setting area and replace with the Gravity form variables.

Makes perfect sense.... Thanks, Sam.

I'm not sure what you mean by designing a template for your HTML emails. You have to write the HTML yourself, and then paste the HTML into the Notification Message Body. There are no pre-defined templates.

Thanks Carl,
I know how to set up the notification emails and design what content is in them, I hve done this several times for several clients. My problem is that I just have no idea where I go to design a template for my HTML emails to customise the look of the outgoing emails.

Am I missing something that is in front of my nose?

You manage notification emails for forms by going to the Notifications for that form and customizing the Admin and/or User Notification emails. You get to these by going to Edit Forms, hover over the form you want to edit and choose Notifications.

If you are using HTML formatted emails you want to be sure to turn off the auto-formatting option, which is a checkbox just below the message body for each notification email.

Is it possible to create your own template for the Notification emails? I have a customer of mine that wants to make the emails match in with his site design.

If so, what file do I need to alter to set it up.

I know how to format html emails, I just don't know where to do it for this plugin.

Thanks, Sam
