You do not lose any functionality. You lose support and updates. The software will still function fine, and you can continue to expand your use of it. I hope that answers your question.

First, let me thank you guys for developing something so awesome. I haven't had the chance to use your products yet, but I can tell you guys put fourth a lot of effort into developing it.

I had a question regarding the developers license. I have read through the forums regarding this question first, but it is still a little unclear to me.

I know that the developers license for support and upgrades expires after 1 year.
and I know that after my license expires, that the forms I've created for clients during that period will still remain functional.

but after that license expires, am I still able to use my original non-upgraded version gravity forms to create new forms for other clients and sites? or do I have to continuously renew the license to be able to make new forms?

I know you guys recommend continuously upgrading for security and compatibility reasons, but I was just wondering if it was possible to continue using the version I was initially licensed for to create new forms?

Thanks!
