So you do customizations via the hooks and don't change the core plugin files that way you can upgrade without a problem each time we release a new version.</p> <p>That being said, we can't 100% guarantee that hooks won't ever change. We are planning to use the 'pre_submission' hook to do some processing with the data. Well the question is, when GF is updated to a newer version, manually or automatically, will the same hooks still work? I mean will they be the same throughout the updates, backward compatible?
