Gravity Forms is a great plugin, but not offering Custom Post Types, nor Front-End edition, is starting to be a deal breaker.
Other plugins entered the "Forms for WP" market, Ninja Forms, Formidable Pro, Pods, CRED forms all with Custom Post Types and Front-End edition.

I know there are some GF 3rd party add-ons, but they are free, without garanty/support, and you can't seriously rely on them.

Gravity Forms can take the information, and with the third party Custom Post Types add-on, create the post. With our User Registration add-on, you can create WordPress users with the same form. But there isn't a built in way to have it only allow certain users to fill out certain forms, or control membership levels (time periods and upgrades). So alone, Gravity Forms wouldn't be enough to do what you want and it would grow complicated quickly integrating it with other membership specific plugins, so I'd suggest you only undertake this if you have intermediate WordPress and PHP knowledge.

What I need is to have a member to be allowed to fill out a form(in front end), the content from the form be stored in a custom post type(in the back end), Member have the possibility to come back and edit their content at a later date, and allow the membership level to determine the number of forms to be completed (Such as member level one allow 1 form to be created and member level 2 allow for 2 forms to be created). And have the membership levels have time period memberships with options to upgrade as needed.

Thank you for answering my questions.
