@jesb Please let us know what plugins and themes you have activated.

The best thing to do to test initially is to deactivate ALL plugins except Gravity Forms and then reactivate them one by one, checking Gravity Forms each time to see which one is causing the problem.

If this is a new install and you have no forms yet, another thing you can try is uninstalling the plugin completely using the uninstall routine on the Settings page, delete the plugin from the server, reupload the plugin and reactivate like normal.

I am having this issue as well. But unlike the others above, I am NOT using Thesis and NOT the Google Libraries Plugin...

PHP Version	5.2.11
MySQL Version	5.0.81
WordPress Version	2.8.4
Gravity Forms Version	1.1.3

I'm not sure what to do. I have tried Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.

Thanks Bill, we will look into why the google libraries plugin is causing a conflict.

We rely on the jQuery core that WordPress 2.8+ ships with, we don't package our own version of jQuery with the plugin so any change to this could cause a problem. But I don't see why having the jQuery called from Google would cause a problem, but obviously it is.

I'll download it and check it out and see if there is anything we can do to resolve the conflict.

Ah. Found the problem. Beware the Use Google Libraries Plugin:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/use-google-libraries/

Once I disabled this plugin, everything worked wonderfully.

I'm also having this problem - the "edit" button doesn't work. However:

- I'm not using Thesis
- I'm running JQuery 1.3.2
- I'm running Wordpress 2.8.4

My environment info:

PHP Version 5.2.6
MySQL Version 5.0.67
WordPress Version 2.8.4
Gravity Forms Version 1.1.3

I'm running Firefox 3.5/ Mac OS 10.6, but it also is non-functional in Safari.

Any ideas?

@josey Just emailed you on the issue. After poking around we discovered that while your site is running WordPress v2.8.4, for some reason it's running the old version of jQuery (1.2.6) and not the new version of jQuery (1.3.2) that WordPress v2.8 introduced. I'm not sure why this is the case as v2.8 should have introduced the new version. Did someone on your end manually change the version of jQuery to the old version?

One of the reasons Gravity Forms requires WordPress v2.7 is the jQuery version that it introduced. So that is why you are encountering issues with the field editors acting strangely.

And just FYI, i've already reached out to the Thesis developer to try to work together on resolving any conflicts our mutual customers may have and my attempts were met with resistance. He isn't interested.

@josey I replied to your email. Let me know the additional information when you get a chance, although this very well could still be a Thesis issue as you pointed out. If you find out anymore about the issues in the Thesis Dev forum, let me know.

Thanks brianc, perhaps?

It now seems to drop down automatically, upon hoover over edit button, but then zips up again upon typing. Also, the Adv tab when clicked, exits the drop down.

I am reading a lot of widget related issues in Thesis Dev forum. Appears it may or may not have been resolved with 1.5.1 ...

Thesis 1.5 was patched with Thesis 1.5.1 for the specific widget problem that I was encountering. Subsequently that bug was what seemed to have nuked the edit ability in gravity forms.

I upgraded to 1.5.1 and it fixed it.

Perhaps Josey its another conflict such as a plugin.
