@hugh71158 What you probably want to look at switching to is a VPS solution. This is a step up from shared hosting, but not quite a dedicated server. A lot of web hosts offer this, although BlueHost does not. One host you could look into is KahunaHost.com, which is run by the same guys that run OrganicThemes.com.

Ah, I see.

Well, Bluehost are giving me a little trouble about my file count - currently 160,000 and they want it below 50,000. I was considering looking at another solution. Maybe it's time.

Thanks again!

Because BlueHost is a shared hosting environment and each site has limited server resources that it can use. The Gravity Forms site, licensing key and support site just generate too much traffic for the resources BlueHost assigns to each shared hosting account to be able to handle.

We migrated to FireHost which will allow us to add additional resources whenever we need to do so. It is much more expensive but our server requirements are much more advanced than the average site.

Yeah, I am hoping that the online version works ok. You upgraded to a more robust environment? I'm curious, may I ask what is was? If you can't discuss it openly, no problem.

Thanks Carl.

Sending email is dependent upon the web server being able to do so. So it's entirely possible your local server isn't configured to properly send email so that could be why it is not working. Email issues with Gravity Forms are always related to the web server, not the plugin itself. Typically it's a configuration issue.

Gravity Forms does work fine with BlueHost. We used to use them to host the Gravity Forms site itself for many months before upgrading to a more robust hosting environment earlier this year.

Hi,

just a quick question.

I am certain that I tested a form online and it sent through an email - the online files are no longer up so I can't run that again right now. I am using a local server to build my site, and I am not getting emails when I test.

Is it because I am doing this on a local server at the moment? I use Bluehost as my provider.

Thanks!

Hugh
