Agreed. Spending hours trying to figure out if and how you can print out a form, blank or filled out, and would love to be able to save, download, or email a pdf of a submission. This does seem rather basic, but apparently not.

I have been looking at pdf extended as well and it's quite scary looking if you're not a developer. It may be easy to integrate, but sure doesn't look that way.

I just recently purchased gravity license and love the product. However, I definitely would love it even more if you can offer PDF output out of the box. I tried the pdf extender plugin, while it does offer ability to create custom PDF template, but it require a lot of coding and not very user friendly (I want my business users be able to drag and drop to create the template). All I wanted this feature to do is simply create a PDF base on the layout of the form. I would imagine that shouldn't be too difficult to do since your form generator already knows how to generate the form layout based on the configuration. Wouldn't it be simply copy the layout over to the PDF generation? thx.

Feel free to play around in our demo install at http://gravityforms.com/demo and see how things look. It might help give you a sense of what you would have and if it would fit your needs.

Thanks David.

I took a look at the Extended PDF plugin, but again, I still wish you guys would made available some visual examples for the rest of us who care not only about the functionality, but about how things look. I'm almost positive that none of you guys would date a person that is not visually appealing to you. That's why most "blind dates" don't work, and the same reason why I'm not buying your license or products for now. Thanks anyway; take care,

Hi there,

1.) Gravity Forms doesn't include a way to do this. You can print single entries from the back end, but it will be basically a table layout of what field and what data. There are third party add-ons to create PDF's from data submitted.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gravity-forms-pdf-extended/

2.) There is no way, at this time, to get the add-ons without buying the license that goes with them. To get payment gateway add-ons, you must purchase the Developer license.

You are right that most people export the data collected to Excel, and use it there, and as such, there is little "designer" options in terms of data display. We are, as resources allow, working on some fancier data display options, but there isn't an ETA on this.

Hi guys,

You may have answers to these pre-purchase questions, but I couldn't access them because the links I found in my search took me to the members-only section; so, here I go:

1. Is it possible to create/use registration forms that I can print (and send back) showing not just the collected data/enrtries, but the whole form, including text?. Think of it as an "e-contract", where both the text of the "contract" AND the info of the person "signing" (submitting) the contract are shown.

2. I only need to create a couple of registration forms for one client, but I see that PayPal is an Add-on, and only available in the "developer" license. I guess you may have technical reason for this, but it is rather unpractical for us, your clients. I must be getting blind, but I cannot find the prices for the add-ons. Would you please point me to where they are?

I realize that most data collected through forms is probably intended to be used in Excel documents for instance, to be processed, but I think it would be nice for designers like myself (not form builders) to be able to see samples of how collected data looks both in the email that the user receives and in pdf format or similar.

Thanks a bunch for your help. Take care,

Nomar
