Look at what Rob has said, but you can password protect pages and posts in WordPress without Gravity Forms or any User Registration add-on if you so desire. There are plenty of videos on password protecting pages and posts in WordPress.

How are they going to know the password? Are you just going to email it to them? If so, then it sounds like you can just create that as a regular single line input box (optionally select the password option on it) and then do a conditional redirect upon submission. A member just posted his solution for that the other day:

http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/linking-forms-conditionally#post-55417

I will have a page where members can enter a password which they will be assigned. The password will be the same for everyone. For example, "password123." I just need them to enter password123 into the form field and on submit, get to another page that is for members only. Sorry for the confusion. It is not supposed to be a real secure page or anything fancy at all. Thank you.

Can you tell me more about what you are trying to accomplish? I think that what was posted would be the best route, but I'm confused because you said "the same generic password".

Hello,

I need certain users to be able to enter the same generic password which they will be assigned. It seems that the User Registration add on is beyond what I need, though it is installed. I looked at some similar topics and found the code at the link below:

http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/manually-set-new-user-password
It says to use this (http://pastie.org/2988096)

Could you tell me if I should use this. If not, could you suggest an easy way to do this? I appreciate your help.
