Fields aren't appearing on the WordPress Profile page because Gravity Forms isn't adding fields to that page.

Gravity Forms only creates/registers the user. It does NOT add fields or data to the user profile page itself. That is not what it is designed to do.

It supports custom user meta, but if you wanted any custom user meta to be displayed on the WordPress profile page itself then you'd have to either implement a customization to do so or use a plugin that adds profile fields to the profile page of WordPress.

Information on how to add profile fields to the WordPress profile page can be found here:

http://justintadlock.com/archives/2009/09/10/adding-and-using-custom-user-profile-fields

There are also plugins that exist that let you do.

The User Registration Add-On is strictly for using a Gravity Form to register or create a user. It is not designed to add functionality to the profile page itself.

We will be introducing new functionality in the User Registration Add-On that will support UPDATING an existing user by creating a form that updates the user, however it still is not going to add functionality to the WordPress profile page itself. But it will allow you to use a Gravity Form instead of the WordPress profile page. This functionality is in active development and will be introduced in the next major release of the User Registration Add-On along with other exciting new features.

Gravity Forms does not do this because it is a forms plugin. Just like you can create posts, but it doesn't add fields to the WordPress post editor. It doesn't add functionality to existing WordPress functionality such as the profile page, etc. because that isn't what it is designed to do.

But with the enhancement I described above, it will allow you to scrap using the WordPress profile page for managing profile updates.

Hello,

I created a form with User Registration add-on and some Extra Fields settings. See here: http://furatus.com.br/cadastro-de-usuario/

The "Tipo de Produto" and "Número de Série" NEED to be showed in profile page. But... when I register an user and put the data, doesn't show in profile page: http://cl.ly/FqhR

It's correctly configured here: http://cl.ly/Fqn1 But still not showing.

Another thing. There's two types of registration, for the same user. Like Personal and Business. The Personal shows this: http://cl.ly/Fqn1 and Business shows this: http://cl.ly/FpFD, all users are registered under "Subscriber" role.

Can you help me with this? Like, urgent. :(

Thanks,
Yeltsin Lima
