I ended up setting a Custom Field to the radio type and then styling it to function the way I needed. The resulting posts have an associated custom field, ideally determined by the controls provided by the new Survey add-on. I'm using the gform_post_data filter to manually set the post_custom_fields, but it would be easier if the survey field types were allowed field types for custom post fields. </p>
