If the file exists on the server and you can see it via FTP but if you try going to it via HTTP in your web browser and you get a 404... it's a server URL rewriting/permalink issue. Gravity Forms doesn't do anything with url rewriting so this is going to be something server/WordPress related.

What does the HTTP URL to the file look like?

Hi,
Actually the URL to the file is correct and I can access the actual file via FTP, but when I click on the link to the file, I get a page not found error.
Though I have to mention that it work well with archives.

This is the relative link to the folder containing the file: /blog/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/5/2010/12

It could be related to this thread, which is server configuration related:

http://forum.gravityhelp.com/topic/docx-converted-to-zip

Some browsers try to handle the file different from what you expect, for example with .docx they think it's an archive and try to unzip it.

But we haven't seen any issues with PDF or DOC with the upload. If you look on the server, do you see the files themselves in the gravity forms upload folder? What does the URL to the file look like (you can omit the domain name if you want)?

There's a problem when a user attaches files other than .rar or .zip files.
When I receive the email containing the link to the file in gravity_forms upload folder such as .doc .pdf or .docx files, it refers me to a page not found page in WP.

What could be the problem?
