Data isn't stored in flat files, it is stored in the database, and as such, you have to import things back into the database for them to work. There are tons of tutorials out there on how to do this, but yes, without a basic understanding, importing and exporting everything to do with Gravity Forms (or for that matter, anything stored in your database) might be difficult. I have faith that with a bit of research, you could easily figure it out though as phpMyAdmin (the tool used by most web hosts to manage databases) makes database viewing, exporting and importing relatively easy.

Hi - thanks for your response :)
Looking under the hood of a database is a bit beyond me... I was kind of hoping I could find a clean file in a folder that I could import... I guess unless I exported an XML file of the form (I didn't) and I can find GF tables in the database (wouldn't know where to start) I'm out of luck?

Forms are stored in the database by default, unless you exported an XML and uploaded it back to your server. BackupBuddy does take database snapshots, doesn't it? Check to see if it has the Gravity Forms tables.

Hi there - I have deleted a form by mistake :(

I have BackupBuddy backups and believe I need to find the form XML file - can anyone tell me where in the WP directory structure this is stored? Have had a good look but can't seem to find it.

Any help appreciated!
