Carl,

It seems that the problem is caused when you add 2 or more of the same field type without updating the form. I tried adding one paragraph box at a time, setting the parameters and updating the form. It works fine now. If I were to create 2 or more boxes and set them all with the same parameters before updating the form, they seem to all take the name and hold the data from the first box created. The boxes only get individual DB records when they are saved individually. I've fixed my form but I can create a new one using the pervious method and send you a link to the file. However, my guess is that you can recreate the same issue by just adding 2 or more of the same field type and then updating the form.

Thanks!

What field types are the you using for the Testimonial textarea fields? Are they a Paragraph Text field or are they a Post Custom Field set to Paragraph? Please provide additional details as to how the form is setup.

Better yet, if you can use the Import/Export tool to Export that form to XML and upload it to your web server and provide a link to it here I can import your form and test with it.

Hi,

We're having issues with the form fields in two ways. When I build a form, if I use 4 paragraph boxes in a row, they will all hold the same data. In other words, I label the first form, "testimonial 1", and the next, Testimonial 2, and so forth. But, when you change the name of one, the rest of the paragraph boxes all update to have the same name. This also affects the form submission. We have clients that need to submit a form several times to add new info. But when the go to add the testimonials, all 4 paragraph boxes for testimonials record only the data in the first box. This is what is submitted and what we see in the database. Kind of renders the whole idea of resubmitting a form, useless.

How can I stop these things from happening. Is it a caching thing? I do not even have caching turned on for the site. But it could be browser caching.

One of the many forms that is doing this (They all do this) is here : http://southwaterfrontbusinessassociation.org/schooner-info-form/

Thanks!

John
