Funny story, I don't think the
$entry['post_id']
was the problem at all. I think it was a problem with trying to get my form to upload the attachment correctly. I finally got it working so I wrote a Post about it here: http://bandonrandon.wordpress.com/2013/03/05/uploading-files-as-post-attachments-with-gravity-forms/

Hi,

I'm having a problem where my form is not returning the
$entry['post_id']
when using the Custom Post Type Plugin.

I have tried the hooks
gform_pre_submission

gform_after_submission
and
gform_post_data
but the
print_r
values of all these did not contain the
post id
field. I am trying to get the post id so I can associate an uploaded file with it which makes me think I need to get the id then do it BEFORE the form is submitted

Any help would be awesome
