Turning off the 300 character setting did the job! Thank you very much Chris :)

Maybe the server has mod_security (or equivalent for LightSpeed) and that's causing problems? It does not appear to be anything with Gravity Forms, but with the server configuration.

Also, for the meantime, I think if you turn off the maximum 300 character setting you have for one of the fields, the form will work. At least until you resolve this 406 error code.

The only reason to use the meta recovery tool is if you moved the forms from one domain to another, or moved the whole site. Is that your case?

If these forms have always been on this site and never exported or imported, you should not need the meta recovery tool.

The issue is still with this file:
http://adorestudy.com/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/js/jquery.textareaCounter.plugin.js?ver=1.5.2.8

An error code 406 from the web server. That's not normal. Have you tried contacting your host to see what might be causing that? You don't have much control over that status code.

Thank you Chris for clarifying. However the process did not work. Is there another method that I can try?

http://adorestudy.com/dil-okullari/akademik-raporlama-formu/

The form is here. But again not showing. I deleted the shortcode and then added it again. Still nothing.

Should I use the Gravity Forms Meta Recovery Tool?

Thank you.

@marmaris - when you remove the files, you are doing the same as deactivating and uninstalling. After you remove the files and visit the WordPress admin panel to manage plugins, you will get a message up top that says:

"The plugin gravityforms/gravityforms.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist."

http://minus.com/mdhZmNh

Removing the gravityforms folder uninstalled the plugin and deactivated it at the same time. Then re-upload all the plugin files. Then activate the Gravity Forms plugin. You will see that all your forms are still there and all your settings and entries as well.

It's a clean way of replacing all the Gravity Forms plugin files to help resolve your initial error.

There is a button in the Gravity Forms admin that will remove everything related to Gravity Forms from your database. I'm not going to show you that since that's NOT what you want to do. You want to just upload the plugin again to be sure you have all the files in the proper place.

Thank you David for your reply.

Just to understand you 100%.....

I do not deactivate the plugin and I do not uninstall the plugin, I simply delete the gravity forms files from the server and then re upload the same files to the plugin directory? Is this correct?

Thank you.

Hi Marmaris,

Looks like the textarea script is generating an error and not being loaded correctly:

http://adorestudy.com/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/js/jquery.textareaCounter.plugin.js?ver=1.5.2.8

I suggest first deleting Gravity Forms and then re-upload it. You do NOT need to completely uninstall Gravity Forms (aka, all form and entry data) just the files.

There is a javascript error on the page which is preventing the form from being displayed as it uses conditional logic which relies on javascript. I have forwarded this to one of our developers who is going to take a look and see what is going on.
